Just to kiss him goodnight

As you are struggling with your key to open your front door, you look back wondering why Lucy is taking so long. Back in the car you see Lucy has the door open, but is leaning back over the seat and as you watch, she moves close into him and plants a kiss on his cheek.

“Night Dave, see you again soon” you hear her shout back as she slides out of the car, whilst back in the car, Dave is looking back towards her as she closes the door, and with a little wave, pulls the car away.

Finally you feel the key drop into the lock, and with a twist it opens. You walk inside, followed inches behind by your still nameless conquest, and finally Lucy, who slams the door shut.

“Well lovebirds, I’m off to bed” she begins, “alone” follows after a dramatic pause, “so keep the noise down will you.” As she laughs at her pointless order, knowing the noise you make, she passes you and makes her way upstairs.
