The story begins
Unaware of the curse they now suffer under, an Alliance army marches confidently into the wastes, searching for a foe it believes it can easily destroy. At the same time, caravans of settlers are making their way to the frontier to settle this savage land, and the home front lies relatively undefended, snug in the certainty that their barbarian foes lacked the sophistication or power to threaten them.
In time, they will all learn the folly of their ways.
