Chapter 8
by Cretan_Bull14
"What are you staring at?"
Just fixing the blanket
“PLEASE!!! TURN AROUND!!!” Melody pleads as she rolls over away from you to hide her nude and exposed body from your eyes. You listen to her cries but do not comply with them. Instead, you move towards the couch.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” She cries, not expecting you to make an advance on her.
“Shhhh! I’m not going to hurt you.” You say, keeping you eyes on her face. You desperately want to check her body out again, but don’t dare take advantage of her given all that she’s been through tonight. Instead, you kneel down, pick up the blanket and place it back on her. Like a father tucking in his little girl, you carefully make sure that every edge of the blanket is folded underneath her. She doesn’t’ speak, as you work. She just lays there and watches you, mystified and excited about your actions. You can’t tell if she’s still in shock from being naked in front of you, so you try to keep any enjoyment of seeing her nude form invisible to her. Once you have finished your task, you lie on the edge of the couch. The room has warmed up quite a bit since you accidentally pulled the blanket off of Melody so you don’t try to climb back underneath it with her.
“There, all better!” You say in a calming voice. The bug-eyed look she had on her face a moment ago has vanished. Now, all she is doing in staring at you.
“Thanks Jack!” She replies as she bats her eyes and smiles at you as you rub her shoulder through the blanket. She notices the exhaustion on your face and cannot help but be concerned about it.
“Hey, you should get some sleep. You worked until four this morning, and had to get up for class at seven.” She says. Even though you can feel how tired you are, you don’t care. She is hurting right now, and needs someone to be there for her.
“I’m okay. Besides, it’s all about you tonight. If there’s anything you want to talk about, go ahead. Anything and everything that’s bothering you, feel free to let it out. Tonight, I’m all ears.” You tell her.
The two of you say nothing. You just lie there, silently waiting for her to speak. When Melody is in the dumps, she tries to clam up, but you’ve always known how to get her to talk. You are positive that tonight will be no different. The silence lasts for almost ten minutes before she finally speaks.
“Jack why does this always happen to me?” She asks as another round of tears starts flowing from her eyes. The sudden bout of crying catches you off guard. You quickly dry her cheek and move a little closer to her. She rolls to her side as best as she can, and gently touches her forehead with yours.
“It’s not you. It has absolutely nothing to do with you. It’s Keith. He’s an asshole. And he’s a moron to boot. He threw away a beautiful, intelligent, driven woman like you so he could get some tail from a girl whose brain is about a size 36D. I know it’s hard for you to believe me right now, but you’re going to find a guy that’s going to treat you the way you should be treated. He’s gonna care about your happiness more than he does about his own. That’s the guy you’re going to spend the rest of your life with. You’re probably not going to meet him tomorrow, but he is out there, waiting to give you his heart. So hang in there, and everything will be okay.” You say as you continue to rub her cheek.
“Thanks Jack.” She says as she yawns.
“Okay then, let’s get some sleep. I’ll kill all the lights while you head in and get changed.” You tell her.
“I think I’m just gonna crash on the couch tonight.” Melody whispers to you.
“Alright, I’m gonna hop into bed then. I’ll see you in the morning Melody.” You tell her as you start to get up. Before you can get to your feet a request from the woman on the couch stops you in your tracks.
“Stay with me tonight.” She half-whispers, half-pleads with you.
“Are you sure?” You ask, despite already knowing the answer.
“Yes.” She responds.
“Okay. Scoot over while I grab you something to wear.” You tell her.
“Just shut the lights off. I’m too tired and too comfortable to mess with putting clothes back on.” She informs you. You are floored by her comment for a moment.
“You should put something on if we’re gonna share the couch and the blanket.” You tell her as you shut off all the lights.
“It’ll be okay Jack. The lights’ll be off and we’ll both be asleep in five minutes. Just get over here.” You oblige her by resuming your position on the couch. She manages to pull the blanket out from underneath her and toss it over you. Despite all the lights being off in the apartment, the light coming in from outside allows you to get a quick peek at her breasts. Not caring about your bonus view of her body, she curls up into you to give you both enough room to be comfortable. Melody proves to be right as in a few minutes you are both asleep.
How does she feel in the morning?
