Chapter 2 by sixman sixman

What does he spend his day off doing?

Just Chill

The best thing about the NBA is the fact that they know how to live. Yes the players make a ton of money but the league definitely takes care of you. With their generous per diem on road trips to the fact that they have to put you up in at least a four star hotel. Since it is unknown just how long he is going to be in town, the team put him up in a really nice fancy restaurant only a few steps from the arena. Not that he planed to spend a lot of time there but he wasn’t going to complain.

The hotel had a bunch of traffic coming and going. Since it is one of the top places in the city he isn’t at all that surprised. You’d think that he’d have something better to do than hang out in the lobby but the truth is that he doesn’t. He thought about gong for a walk but with overcast skies he decided to just stay in.

He sat downstairs wearing his sweats and his T-shirts watching as people came though. There was some swanky black tie event going on. He watched as the mostly elderly white crowd dressed in their best evening attire enter the ballroom. It looked a pretty boring affair but that was until she saw her.

She came out in her blue evening dress and blonde curly hair. A petite woman that was no taller than 5’5” although her heels made her look taller. Her skin is pale probably from not being able to tan in these winter months but it is her surprisingly shapely body that really caught his eye. Despite her slender frame old girl had some sista curves in the former of a shapely ass and some perky C cup breasts. She is pretty too with her crystal blue eyes and her red lipstick giving her a look of a different era. She sorta reminded him of a prettier Christina Aguilera.

He watched as she plopped down on the bench across from him.
“Oh God this sucks!” She said looking exhausted and tired.
“Rough night?” He asked.
“Boring night. I don’t know why I even came.”
“Well only you can answer that.”
“Unfortunately. My dad wanted me to come.”
“Where are you coming from?”
“Athens and UGA.”
“A Georgia Bulldog huh?”
“Let me guess, you aren’t a fan?”
“I’m impartial. I have favorite players that went there but I’m not a diehard dog fan.”
“You must not be from SEC country. There is no such thing as being impartial. You either love or hate, there’s no in between.”
“Yeah, I’m a northerner.”
“What brings you to Atlanta?”
“A contract job.”
“How long are you in town for?”
“Another ten day. Three of which I’ll be on the road. So what year are you in?”
“I’m just finishing up my sophomore year.”
“What are you studying?”
“Business.”
“That’s cool. My ex girlfriend studied that in college.”
“Why is she your ex?” She asked with a curious stare.
“Uh, well, she cheated on me.”
“So we do have something in common.” She said with a nonchalant grin.
“You got played too?”
“Yup, just last week too.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Ah, don’t be. I mean you want things to work out but you can’t make people love you.”
“True.”
“So are you with someone now?”
“Nope. Just focusing on work.”
“That sounds like no fun. You need to get out and have fun. Don’t let your ex keep you down.”
“I try, but that’s easier said than done sometimes.”
“I hear you. Sometimes getting over the assholes in your life are pretty hard. But it would be a lot easier if I could get a drink.

Should He help her Out or Just leave
