Jane was frantic. She was quite sure Mina was close by. But how close? Who knew? And what would she do when she saw how naked Jane was? Okay, Jane wasn't entirely naked, but given that she had little more to wear than a black leather collar and a black rag between her legs, she might as well be.
And what was the big deal with the weird girls and her crucifix? Jane understood now why they were so panicked by the sight of the pointed stick -- especially after Jane accidentally pierced one of them with the stick -- but why were they so scared of the crucifix?
No matter. She could sense that Mina was here in the castle now. It was just a matter of searching till she found her.
Perhaps they were in the master dining room. No, wait. Just Barbara and the maids were there. Plus Lucy. And of course --
Wait a minute!
Mina was here. At long last Mina was here.
Jane immediately dropped her crucifix and pointed stick onto the castle floor and ran toward Mina, only to find Barbara standing in her way.
"Oh, no, you don't!" cried Barbara. "Not after the little stunt you pulled downstairs."
"But you don't understand," said Jane. "That part was an accident. I didn't mean to --"
"Meaning has nothing to do with it," said Barbara. "You deserve to be punished."
"Yes, she does," said Mina in a tone that shocked Jane. "But not by you."
At that point, Mina climbed over the table and jumped down besides Barbara. "Come to me, Jane. Come to me."
"But you just said you'd punish me," said Jane.
"And so I will," said Mina. "I'll drown you in kisses, smother you in hugs, strip you of all -- oh, wait, someone's done that last part already. What happened, Jane?"
But before Jane could speak, Mina heard a ripping noise and looked down in time to see her dress being torn in two by the mysterious redhead who called herself Barbara, an act that was immediately followed by the rapid removal of her remaining clothing.
At that point, Mina turned toward Barbara and asked, "Was all that really necessary?"
At that point, a large red-eyed man in a black cloak entered the room, looked down at the two naked women, and exclaimed with a smile, "Hey, works for me!"
