Joker Starts Experimenting

“You see, Boy BLUNDER, I have to actually thank you!” The Clown Prince Of Crime said, in his purple smock. “I’m serious, I do!”

“How so, you sick freak?” Nightwing asked. He hoped not to insult Joker too harshly, or else he could end up in a worse situation, if possible.

“Well, ever since you KILLED HARLEY-“

“Hey I didn’t kill her, it was an accident she fell-“

“SHUT UP!” The Joker replied, punching Dick, “anyways, where was I? Oh yes! You see, ever since you killed Harley, I’ve come to realize how much I loved her. How much I needed her. I’ve been a lonely clown ever since that faithful day.” He then started giggling, madly, “but you can’t get a good Necronomicon expert around here, so resurrecting her ain’t happening! hahaHahHah ahAhahaha!!” He stopped, and looked at Dick with a grinning face. “And I though, if I can’t resurrect her directly? Why not resurrect her INdirectly? Why not have her replaced? And why not have the chump who killed her do it? Now THAT would be irony! HahahahahahHhahHabha hahHHha!!!” He then turned away from the nude body of Nightwing, and to a table of various mysterious chemicals.

Dick was starting to get nervous. What was he talking about? Having him replace Harley for Joker? What did that entail? Whatever it was, Dick knew he had to keep Joker busy. It would give Batman more time to track him down. “Joker, what are you talking about? Me, replacing Harley? Not likely.”

“Well you see, for a while I’ve been experimenting with certain... mind altering substances,” the clown laughed at this little ‘joke’, “and truthfully, me and Harl were going to make our own Joker Jr.! At first, we planned on using one of you, the short one I think, and we would’ve warped him into a kid of our own!” This was horrifying to Dick. They were going to brainwash Robin? “But then, however, Harley... you know. I was lost! Heartbroken! Nothing could be the same for me!

‘And then! I realized something! I could use the ideas and formulas for my Joker Junior, modified them a bit, and voila! Harley 2! After spending months planning, it’s finally happening!” The Joker then pulled up an oxygen tank, with mask attached. However, it was colored black, and the mask was red. He placed the mask over the now-struggling Nightwing’s face, tying the straps around his head. “You see, this is a mind altering gas, taken from the wonderful lab of Dr. Jervis Tetch! It makes anyone who breathes it in a lot more pliable in personality!”

Nightwing was struggling, hard. He couldn’t take of the mask, and he couldn’t breath this junk in, but he had to breath. Finally, he made a decision to breath it in, and just hope Batman was almost there. “You’re insane Joker, you can’t turn me into Harley Quinn! Even if you mind control me, there will always be parts of my personality there! It just won’t work! And besides, I’m not exactly Harley’s body type, or even gender!”

“First of, thank you for the compliment, Harl’, and secondly, that may be true, but I know enough to make it so little Bird-Boy is entrenched deep down in the recesses of the mind!”
