John showers.

He headed up to the attic first to get his towel, and then traveled back downstairs to the bathroom and hopped in the shower. He was quick: washing his face and body, his short brown hair as well. He dried himself off, sprayed on some deodorant, brushed his teeth, (checked himself out in the full length mirror for a moment; he was no athlete but he kept himself in good shape) and headed back up to his room to get dressed.

He came up the stairs with a feeling that something was off, and as he crested the stairs into the attic, he knew what it was: something was on his bed.
