What's next?
John Wakes Up
I blinked my eyes open. The soft glow of Illium’s sun wafted into my bedroom in comforting waves. Stretching out on my bed, I grinned. The night before had been one of the best I’d ever had. Ashley had let me do whatever I wanted with her. We tried every position I could think of before finally collapsing on my bed.
She was perfect. Easily the hottest woman I’d ever had sex with. And she was so into it, too. It was like she was more turned on by me than the other way around, which was a little strange considering how absolutely gorgeous she was.
Now that I thought about it, where was Ashley?
I heard a feminine voice from the other room. I got up and opened my bedroom door.
Ashley sat at the kitchen table, dressed in her tight blue Alliance jumpsuit. She faced away from me, allowing me to marvel at her juicy bubble butt that filled out the empty space below the chair’s backrest. My mind flashed back to the night before, when my hips collided with that magnificent olive-skinned ass, sending ripples through her buttcheeks.
Her heavy **** rifle was disassembled on the table in front of her. She tinkered periodically with the parts, cleaning them before putting them back together.
“Yeah, he’s still asleep,” Ashley said. I noticed then that her omni-tool was glowing orange. Who was she talking to? And why was she talking about me? Was it my mother asking about me?
I brought out my own omni-tool. It took the surveillance programs I’d written less than a second to tap into Ashley’s ‘tool and fish out the contact information of the person on the audio call.
Liara T’Soni?
I’d heard that name before, back when the Asari concierge welcomed Mom to Illium and escorted us to the hotel. The name sounded familiar beyond that, however. I could tell she was Asari, sure, but I had a feeling I should have known who she was.
A quick extranet search brought up an image of her. I recognized her immediately. Jane’s girlfriend. She’d been in the background of more than a few video calls Jane had with me from the Normandy. She looked young, relatively speaking, and had the deepest blue eyes I’d ever seen. She was beautiful.
“I see,” a feminine voice filtered through Ashley’s omni-tool. “I assume you have explained everything to him?”
Ashley chuckled.
“We didn’t do a whole lot of talking last night,” she said.
Liara coughed.
“A-Ashley, this is no time for jokes!” her voice rose an octave louder as she tried to get Ashley to recognize just how serious she was. I smirked.
“Relax, Liara. John knows pretty much everything I know. You worry way too much,” Ashley said.
“Try saying that after Admiral Shepard barges down your door asking you uncomfortable questions. I had to look her in the eye and…” Liara sighed. “It is not wise for us to speak more of this over a call.”
I raised my eyebrows.
Mom had gone to see Liara? Was that the business she had planned for this morning? What the hell was going on here? Why would Mom accuse Liara of anything? Damn, I wish I'd woken up earlier so I could have followed her.
Ashley nodded.
“I’ll try to see if we can drop in later, but I have to clear it with John first. Did you… end up showing the Admiral your ink?”
My eyes widened. Her ink? That could only really mean one thing in that context. My eyes widened.
There was a sigh on the other end of the call, and I had the feeling that Liara was rubbing her temples.
“I would rather not put… what was that human phrase? All my cards on the chair? Yes, I would rather not put all my cards on the chair until it was absolutely necessary.”
I snorted. It was usually funny to hear aliens mix up human phrases, but Asari tended to sound incredibly cute when doing so. The fact that most of them were several times older than me only made it more endearing.
Ashley glanced back at me. She smiled.
“Liara, let me call you back. John’s just woken up and he probably has questions about you,” she said.
“Understood. Just please make sure the two of you stop by later. We have a lot of work to do, and time is of the essence. Additionally…”
Ashley rolled her eyes as Liara kept talking.
“Yeah, yeah. See you later,” the gorgeous marine hung up on her.
She smiled at me and got up from her chair. Her big breasts jiggled as she turned to face me.
“Morning, sir. How’d you sleep?”
I shrugged.
“Not bad. It’d have been better if I’d gotten to wake up next to a beautiful woman, but such is life.”
Ashley blushed.
“Well I’d like to have stayed in bed, but I’m your protector. It’s my job to make sure you keep breathing, sir. Even if it means I don’t get any sleep.”
I blinked. Had she stayed up all night? I then noticed that her eyes were bloodshot and she ha dbags under her eyes. Shit, she really had.
“Ashley, you can’t stay up all night. It’s not healthy. You need to sleep.”
“But I-”
“Not buts. From now on, you’ll get at least six hours of sleep a day. There’ll be no more all-nighters without my permission or some extenuating circumstance that forces you to stay awake. That’s an order. Do you understand?” I glared at her.
Ashley swallowed, but she didn’t look away.
After a few moments, she nodded. When she spoke, her voice was firm but unflinchingly obedient.
“Yes sir.”
My cock throbbed.
I approached her. My eyes roved over her perfect body. It was so hard to believe she was mine. That’d she’d do whatever I wanted. How many guys had dreamt of being in this position?
There was an overwhelming temptation to just take Ashley and book the earliest flight to Earth or the Citadel. From there I could chart a trip to an uninhabited world. We could settle down and start a new life there, far away from the Reaper onslaught. I resisted. Jane had put her trust in me and had even gifted her own friend to me so I could pick up from where she left off. I wouldn’t betray that trust.
Ashley’s lips were soft and inviting. I kissed her. She moaned appreciatively and responded. Our hands explored each other’s bodies as we made out for the next few minutes.
Eventually, we broke the kiss.
Ashley’s eyes practically glowed with lust as they stared into mine.
“I ordered us some breakfast, by the way. I hope that’s okay,” she said.
I smiled at her.
“Of course,” I ran a hand through her soft dark hair, tucking a few errant locks behind her ear. The marine swooned and pushed her head against my hand.
There was a chime at the front door.
Ashley reluctantly moved away from me and headed for the door. Her juicy bubble butt jiggled and swayed as she moved. Ashley glanced back at me over her shoulder, catching me staring after her. A satisfied grin spread across her face as she answered the door.
The door slid open to reveal an Asari. She was tall and voluptuous. The pale blue dress she wore barely concealed her curves, and I only barely resisted staring into her deep blue cleavage. She was older and had a regal bearing and was probably well into her matron years. She had teal birthmarks that lined the underside of her eyes before fading towards her ear canals. I wondered what her position at the hotel was.
She pushed a hovering tray in front of her. It was stacked with what looked like pancakes and bacon as well as glasses of some reddish fruit juice.
“Good morning, miss,” she addressed Ashley. “I have your order here. I hope you’ve found our accommodations to your liking?”
Ashley glanced at me for a long moment. She mouthed something before returning her attention to the Asari.
Pen?
The Prothean artifact pulsed in my pocket, as if in response to my thoughts. When had it gotten there? I could have sworn I’d left it on the bedside table.
“They’re definitely not bad,” Ashley sniffed. “Mmm. The pancakes smell really good. It’s almost like it was made on some human colony, but better.”
The Asari smiled at the praise. She folded her hands in front of herself.
“I’m glad you like it. Our cooks are drawn from some of the most talented individuals in the galaxy.”
I brought the pen out of my pocket. Ashley had mouthed the word to me, I was sure of it. Was she suggesting at that I use it on the Asari woman?
My eyes crept over the alien woman’s body. I’d never bedded an Asari matron before, and they tended to be more voluptuous than the younger maidens. Only the matriarchs outclassed them in average breast and hip size, but they were far less common outside of Asari space. The number of humans who had bedded one of them could probably be counted on one hand, if the rumors were to be believed.
I personally doubted the Matriarchs were as sexually distant as people liked to portray them. After nearly a thousand years of life, I figured the Asari political elite would probably deign to mingle among members one of the newest species on the galactic scene, if only out of sheer curiosity. The first human ambassador on Thessia probably had some wild stories to tell.
I was getting ahead of myself, however. I clutched the pen in my hand and approached one of the walls of my room.
The Asari’s eyes flicked over to me. She watched me curiously until my pen touched the wall.
Her eyes widened in alarm. Ashley smirked.
“Sir, we do not allow vandalism on our premises. If you would kindly-” her protests died abruptly. Her eyes scanned the sentence I’d written on the wall. The golden worlds had sunk into the material of the wall like a tattoo, marring it forever.
John Shepard’s room
“Hm. That’s interesting,” the Asari crossed her arms over her chest, pushing her large breasts upward. “But a moment ago I could have sworn this room belonged to my family and I. I assume you are John Shepard, the listed occupant of this suite?”
I smiled. Unless Ashley and Yira were part of some elaborate prank, my pen worked as advertised, and not only could I claim people, but rooms as well. Would the same apply to ships? What about cities? Planets? I felt an invisible weight settle on my shoulders. I wondered if it I’d ever buckle under it.
“That would be me,” I held my hand for her to shake. “And who are you, miss?”
The Asari smiled genially. She reached her hand out to shake mine. Her skin was soft, but granular in the way most Asari were. Where human skin was largely coherent aside from scars of birthmarks, Asari skin consisted of multiple sections of near-equal softness.
“Oh, forgive my poor manners. I am Yira Kelis. My family manages the Azuria Bank hotel under the banner of the Kelis-Veranti Consortium. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” she gave my hand an affectionate squeeze and massaged the top of it with her other hand. She leaned toward me slightly, drawing my attention to her cleavage. I didn’t read much into it, though. That was just how Asari were. I did appreciate the show, however, and from the way Yira’s eyes glimmered, she enjoyed providing it. “If I may ask, you wouldn’t happen to be related to Commander Shepard, the first human Spectre?”
“My sister,” I said.
Yira’s face softened.
“I am deeply sorry for your loss,” she said.
I nodded politely. I’d heard the phrase too many times for it to really mean anything to me.
“And you must be his… girlfriend?” Yira turned to Ashley.
Ashley grinned cockily. Her brown eyes gazed at me meaningfully, and it seemed like at that moment she wanted nothing more than to pull my cock out shove it down her throat. She gestured to her arm, probably wondering if she should have showed Yira the sentences Jane had written there.
I shook my head and shrugged, leaving it up to her.
Ashley rolled her eyes.
“You could say that,” she said. “I’m Ashley Williams. It's nice to meet you.”
“Charmed,” Yira said. “Well, it was nice meeting you both. I’ll make sure the hotel staff don’t bother you at all about your room. You’re of course free to use it as long as you wish rent-free. You may also reach out to me if you need anything.”
Yira tapped her wrist, summoning her omni-tool. I did the same for mine, accepting her contact information and transmitting my own in turn.
“Have a good day, Yira. May the Goddess watch over you,” I said the last sentence in Isili, the most widely spoken Asari language and the primary language of diplomacy and commerce throughout the galaxy. The words themselves were heavily reflective of ancient, but colorfully cultured nature of their civilization. For one to pronounce them incorrectly would be considered impolite.
Yira beamed at me and repeated the phrase.
I smiled back, happy to have impressed such a beautiful woman. I’d thought about claiming her right then and there, but I was still new at the whole claiming thing. I wanted to get a feel for how everything worked before I started recruiting people to my side.
Yira turned and exited the room, putting an extra sway to her hips as she did so. Her eyes lit up just like Ashley’s had when she caught me looking.
The door slid shut after her.
Ashley took the initiative of bringing the tray and all the food to the kitchen table. It had come with plates and silverware, so there was no need to get anything from the kitchen cabinets. She pulled out a seat for me and gestured meaningfully.
I snorted and sat down.
“Thanks, Ash.”
The busty marine put her hands on my shoulders and began massaging me.
“No problem, sir. Anything I can do to serve you,” I could hear her grin in her voice. She increased her ministrations on my shoulders, even as I began cutting up my pancakes.
“That feels really good, but aren’t you hungry?” I asked.
Ashley hummed in agreement, but didn’t stop massaging me. She moved her hands up my neck to my ears and began rubbing softly. Sensuously. I groaned.
Meanwhile, her breakfast sat untouched.
“Are you going to eat your breakfast?” I said. I let out a pleased moan when she ran her hands down my shoulders to massage my back.
“I don’t know. Am I?” she teased.
I sighed. Was she trying to goad me into making her eat? If so, I’d oblige.
“You are. Sit down and eat your breakfast. You’re not allowed to get up until I say so.”
Ashley let out a soft, whispered moan.
“Right away, sir.”
She walked over to her chair and sat down across from me. She had a smile on her face as she plucked a piece of bacon off her plate and put it in her mouth.
“So you stayed up all night because you wanted to protect me, huh?” I said.
Ashley nodded and swallowed.
“I did. I couldn’t let anything happen to you, sir,” she said firmly. Her brown eyes hardened with resolve.
“Well you don’t have to. We have the pen, remember?”
Ashley smiled.
“That’s right. You could get a few more people under your sway and have them sleep in shifts. Maybe you could start with some of my marines. Most of them have a good amount of combat experience. That’s why they were handpicked for your mother’s security detail.”
I hummed appreciatively.
“Good idea,” her face lit up at the praise. Damn, she was adorable. “I was also thinking we could try getting our hands on some mechs and drones. Those are usually pretty expensive, but I can get as many as I want for free. Would that help?”
Ashley gave me an impressed look.
“Yeah. In the Alliance we use machines as a **** multiplier since our enlistment rates are for shit. They were pretty useful against the Geth I fought on Eden Prime. The ones they weren't able to hack, anyway. Do you know anything about drones?”
“A lot, actually. I spent a lot of time programming and maintaining the repair drones on the ships I lived on. The engineering crews were happy for the help and taught me a lot more than I ever learned in class. I always liked that a lot more than the military schooling Mom **** on me. Uh, no offense.” I bit into a piece of pancake. It tasted surprisingly good.
“None taken,” Ashley got a thoughtful look on her face. “So you’re kind of a nerd, huh? Definitely not what I was expecting. No offense.”
“What were you expecting?” I asked.
Ashley paused for a few moments.
“I honestly thought you’d be more like your sister. More of a fighter than a tinkerer. I mean, I heard you turned down life in the military, but I was pretty surprised you didn’t enlist after what happened to Jane. It’s… and I can’t believe I’m saying this… it’s probably for the best that you didn’t. It’ll be easy for me to get out of enlistment because of what Jane wrote on my arm, but you’d probably have a lot of red tape to chew through to get out,” she said.
I hummed ambivalently.
“Makes sense,” I said. I tried a piece of fried bacon. It was crisp and practically melted in my mouth. I let it sit in my mouth for a few more seconds before swallowing.
“So, way I figure it, we need to decide what we’re going to do today.”
Ashley nodded.
“I’ve got a pretty good idea of where to start, sir. If you’re up for it, we could go visit Liara T’Soni. She’s smart and knows about the pen, like I do. She can help us figure out where to go next,” she said.
“She was Jane’s girlfriend,” I said, and Ashley nodded. “Did Jane claim her like she did you?”
Ashley smirked. She leaned forward slightly, drawing my eyes to her tanned cleavage.
“She did, sir. Liara wants us to visit her sometime today. I bet you can’t wait to see what Jane wrote,” she said.
I chuckled, even though a sense of unease washed over me. So Liara not only knew about the pen, Jane had written something on her. I wondered if she’d be **** to obey me like Ashley had. I didn’t know how I felt about that.
“Yeah, that’s one way of putting it,” I muttered.
Ashley bit her lip.
“What else do you think we should do, sir?”
I put my fork down.
“I was thinking about using today to get our hands on some gear. You’ve got an eye for good armor, I bet. How’d you like to get your hands on some of the best military equipment Illium has to offer?”
Ashley put her utensils down. She leaned forward, drawing my eyes to her cleavage again. She gave her chest a little shake, causing her breasts to jiggle enticingly.
“I’d show you how much I want that, but I can’t get up from my seat without your say-so.”
My cock hardened in my pants. Goddamn.
“Get up and show me, then.”
The busty marine shoved her seat back and crawled under the table. I looked down and found Ashley looking up at me from her knees, just as she had the night before.
Without saying a word, she fished my cock out of my pants.
“Such a beautiful dick. You fucked me so well last night,” she muttered. “You know, if we were both in the Alliance, we’d be breaking some serious regs right now. A commanding officer isn’t supposed to fraternize with someone of a lower rank.”
“Because of the power disparity?” I wondered aloud.
Ashley smirked and wrapped her soft hands around my cock. She started stroking up and down.
“That’s part of it. Another part is the impact it’d have on discipline. It’d be difficult for a commanding officer not to show favoritism to the slutty gunnery chief who fucked him whenever wanted, wouldn’t it?”
I laughed.
“I guess so. Speaking of favoritism, I’d really like it if my favorite soldier wrapped her pretty lips around my cock."
Ashley moaned and spat on my cock, jerking me harder. Tremors of pleasure coursed throughout my body. She moved her head closer. I could feel her breath tickling my skin.
“God, I love my new job,” she muttered before planting her lips on the tip of my cock. They were warm and wet, and formed a pleasurable seal over my cock. I moaned.
“Deeper,” I commanded.
Ashley gazed up at me with worshipful eyes as she nodded on my cock. She lowered herself down my manhood, swirling her tongue over it as she did so. After a few moments, she built up a rhythm, her tongue worshiping my cock as she began blowing me in earnest. Her mouth was hot and wet. Lewd slurping sounds filled the room.
I plucked another piece of bacon off my plate and plopped it into my mouth.
