Joe is drunk

As the night wore on and the **** flowed freely, Joe's **** state became increasingly apparent. He stumbled frequently, his words slurring together. Eventually, Tyler suggested they call it a night.

“Jake lives closest, why don't we crash at his place?” he proposed, steadying Joe with a hand on his shoulder. Jake nodded agreeably, his date pouting playfully at the interruption to their fun.

Ari hesitated, glancing uncertainly between the two couples. The thought of being trapped in an apartment with Tyler, his wandering hands and heated looks still fresh in her mind, made her pulse quicken anxiously. But with Joe in no condition to drive, she had little choice.

Once inside Jake's apartment, Ari helped guide the stumbling Joe to the guest room. She tucked him into bed, ignoring the way his hands lingered on her hips as she leaned over him. With a mumbled love you, he passed out almost immediately.

Exhausted and overwhelmed, Ari bid goodnight to the others, eager to escape the charged atmosphere. Because they are at Jakes place, she has nothing to wear, stripping naked wearing only a thong, confident of the lock on the door, before slipping into bed.
