Jimmy, with a request

The figure got closer and closer as I squinted, nerves working through me as I tried to make out who it was, until they finally got close enough, the darkness lightening as Jimmy was revealed. I noticeably relaxed, paranoia over whoever or whatever might approach me in the park at this time settling away. I was happy to see him, and definitely interested in what he might have to say, after even a short time had passed since the big reveal.

“Hey!”

“Hi!”

I responded, as he sat on the swing next to me. He seemed a little sweaty, like he’d been jogging after me initially. Excitement and nerves played out across his face as he geared up to say what he’d been thinking about. It put me at ease, in a way. If he was excited to say it, it must be a good thing…

“So… I’ve been thinking. About your powers.”

“They’re pretty mind-boggling, huh?”

I remarked casually, as I could see he was struggling to articulate some deeper idea.

“Ahh, yeah, I mean, definitely. Well. I was more thinking about their practical possibilities.”

I couldn’t help but feel my own excitement start in me, as I wondered where he might be going with this.

“Hmm, is there something about them you want to know? Or something you want to do…?”

I knew that using this power at all was crossing a moral boundary, but a perverse, naughty pleasure was building in me, like misbehaving on purpose as a kid, when something wasn’t allowed and it made it so much more enjoyable for being forbidden.

“Yeah well…”

He was blushing now, the kind of red across his cheeks I could make out even in the dark.

“You see, there’s this girl I like…”

My heartbeat increased as that statement sent my imagination into overdrive.

“Go on…”

Jimmy looked at the ground and fidgeted.

“Well, you know how you like Lisa, right? Well, I have a crush on her friend, Ashley.”

I immediately pictured her in my mind; Long blonde wavy hair cascading in high volume curls down her back, small breasts and a nice, tight figure dressed up in cute 90s style. A girl as pretty as she was kind.

“Yeah, Ashley’s a really special girl. Talking to her as Lisa was really enjoyable…”

I punched him lightly in the arm as I laughed, amused by this whole thing.

“I had a feeling you liked her! You’re usually so confident, but around her you’d always be a little shy!”

He fidgeted more, clearly embarrassed.

“No, no, don’t worry! I get that! On my date with Lisa I was so nervous I was awkward sometimes too. It’s hard, when you feel so much for someone and can’t control it.”

“Ahh, yeah. You get it. Well, basically, I was wondering…”

He petered off, seemingly unable to find the words to continue. I eased him into it.

“Go on, it’s okay! You’re my best friend, and you’ve already accepted me tonight for my own really strange situation. The least I can do is listen to you.”

He looked up, sheepishly, before continuing.

“Can you find out how she feels about me? I want to ask her out, but I’m so nervous about it. I don’t want to get rejected.”

“Ahh, I mean I would, but I don’t really know her like that, so it’ll look weird if I ask…”

I started, densely, before realizing what he was asking.

“Ohh, you mean ask her as a ‘friend’!”

“Exactly!”

I smiled as the ideas came onto me. I wasn’t trying to use these powers, but if it was at my best friend’s request, a noble cause of love, wouldn’t anyone? There wasn’t any harm in it, right? My brain scrambled a million miles an hour coming up with any acceptable justification to use the skinwalker power.

Another idea came on me too, one that would allow me to test something I’d been wondering about. I turned to Jimmy with a malicious grin on my face.

“I’ll do it.”

“Ohh yes, thank you! I was really nervous asking, it’s pretty crazy and everything-”

“But!”

He stopped, and looked expectantly.

“But?”

“I have a condition.”

I let his face flicker between various expressions before continuing.

“Ashley has two best friends, not just one. You have to come with me.”

I smiled triumphantly as he looked halfway between so nervous he could puke, and ecstatic, the perverse possibility of fulfilling his own TG fetish in the real world getting to be too much for him.

“You can’t mean...”

“Oh yes I do.”

“Would it even work?”

“That’s what I want to find out. No harm in trying, right?”

“How does it feel?”

“Very strange, but honestly… better than I ever could have imagined.”

“I… okay. Okay. I’m absolutely in.”

“Awesome! You’re in for a whole new world of experiences if this works.”

I stood and began walking down the hill followed by Jimmy, my mind a glow with the possibilities. A quest for love, helping my best friend… a somewhat morally positive excuse to use the powers and get inside a girl’s skin again.

Jimmy and I were certainly going to be taking our friendship to the next level. The only question was, who would wear Lisa, and who would wear Emmy?
