Jessie goes next door

"Well, we wouldn't want to intrude, but if you think it's okay, I'll go ask them." Jessie said.

Brian nodded, "They would hate it if you didn't. That's Fidelity hospitality."

"Well, it's been nice to meet you, Brian. I'll see you tomorrow."

Jessie left, leaving Nick behind with Brian.

"You're sure this is okay?" he asked, "You haven't asked your wife, and you sent Jessie next door without asking them first."

"Don't worry, Nick, everything's fine. If they send her back, I'll eat my hat."

As Jessie walked up to the door of Brian's next door neighbors, she became more apprehensive. Should she really be asking strangers to let her stay with them, even if they were neighbors? Still, she didn't want to go back and admit that she got cold feet, so she rang the doorbell.
