Who is following her? What is Jessica going to do?
Jessica talks to the man at the bar
“Fuck!” Jessica winced between clenched teeth as she realized that the old pervert had been following her, a dirty grin on his face, his eyes locked on to hers as he made his way towards the entrance of the bar to join her. She could see the hunger and greed in his dirty old gaze, a slight, reddish outline of a hand-print on his wrinkly left cheek.
Knowing she had to act if she didn't want to end up having to fend off the perverted grandpa again, Jessica bit her lip and made her decision. Quickly she turned and moved over towards the bar. One guy sitting alone. It seemed to her to be the easiest to handle and the least embarrassing.
Glancing back over her shoulder as she slid onto the empty stool next to the man she saw the dirty grin vanish from the old man's face and he stopped dead in his tracks just a step into the bar.
“Yes!” Jessica thought triumphantly as she saw the hesitation and insecurity in his expression now that the situation had changed. Now that she was not a lone deer anymore.
It took the old man a second to make the obvious decision, knowing that now that she had joined another john it was easier, safer, smarter to move on and look for another slut to bend over in some alleyway than it was to pick a potential dispute with a rival.
Satisfaction spread in Jessica's tummy as she watched the old man in the big mirror above the bar turn around and leave, his stride a lot less gleeful...
“Okay!” she thought to herself, “Problem one solved. Now on to problem two!”
As she thought that she once more caught a glance of herself in the mirror and again she was shocked from what she saw. She did not even look like a whore anymore, the camouflage of cheap make-up wiped off, she looked like Jessica Alba in whore-clothes. Her chest clenched as she once again realized the potential destruction the situation could cause. She had to get out of this... and the faster the better!
Putting on her sparkling, award-winning smile Jessica turned towards the man sitting next to her, who apparently had been too occupied to notice her arrival.
“Hey!” she said, trying her best to sound cheerful as she got his attention. She was nervous. As strange as it was, this was the first time she could remember that she tried to chat up a man. Usually she had to fend off advances coming the other way around.
The man turned towards her, his eyes widening slightly with surprise when he saw the gorgeous girl in the cheap get-up smiling at him. Immediately his posture changed from slightly annoyed to be bothered watching soccer to pleased and interested in the new company.
“Hey!” he said, smiling back and even from the three-letter-word Jessica could hear a broad Australian accent.
Her assessment from behind had been right. The man was roughly forty, his face narrow and covered in a stylish three-day-stubble, paired with the piercing blue-gray eyes Jessica actually had to admit he was quite handsome. There were a few wrinkles around his eyes and his forehead, but those actually looked quite distinguished to her. In addition to that Jessica was pleasantly surprised that while he briefly admired her skimpy get-up his eyes quickly came back up to her face. A handsome man who didn't seem to be too badly mannered, rid of the old pervert... maybe her luck was turning.
Jessica realized that she had to say something, that she had already been silent a tad too long and her mind struggled to find an introductory line.
“Uhm... C-care to buy a girl a drink?!” she blurted out the first thing that came to mind, finishing with a smile that she hoped looked alluring.
The man smirked knowingly, giving her a long smirk before turning towards the man behind the bar. “Gert!” he shouted, getting the fat man's attention, “Give me another beer! And for the lady...” he briefly glanced at her as if contemplating, “A rum and coke!”
The barkeeper nodded and got to work and the man turned back towards Jessica. “Call me Derek!” he smiled, offering his hand.
“Jessica!” she took his hand and smiled back.
“Nice to meet you, Jessica!” Derek said, briefly nodding in thanks towards Gert as a freshly drawn beer was set down in front of him before his attention was back with her completely, the soccer match apparently forgotten, “And where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? You don't sound like you are from here...”
“I'm from the US!” No point in making something up. She should have given a false name, but with her accent it was no use pretending she was from somewhere else. If he recognized her it would not be because he knew she was from America. “And where are you from, Derek?”
“Down Under!” Derek grinned, “Can't you tell?!”
They both chuckled. Jessica's drink arrived and they clinked glasses. “And what are you here for, Jessica?”
“Just a little holiday...” she kept it vague, “Enjoying some time off!”
She saw his eyes linger down her half-bared body in amusement, but he had enough manners not to say something. “And yourself?” she inquired, putting a flirtatious tone to her voice.
Derek smirked. “I'm here for a work trip. Me and my band we're doing a little tour around Europe... Checking out the old world and getting it familiar with our tunes...”
“Oh, a musician, nice!” Jessica beamed, not even feigning her joy. She knew musicians. Musicians had an ego, especially the ones touring the world looking for a break-through at the age of forty, “So what's your band called?”
“We're “Fuck Lust”,” Derek said not without pride that Jessica almost found adorable.
“Sounds really cool!” she smiled, batting her eyes at the man, “So what's your role?”
“I'm the singer!” Derek bragged and Jessica felt how much he enjoyed her attention, his body language more than inviting.
“Cool!” she grinned, continuing to feed the man's ego.
The two of them continued to talk for a while, mostly Jessica giving the good-looking Australian the attention he so clearly craved, allowing him to boast about his music and life and getting him to feel interesting before she leaned in conspiratorially.
“Can I ask you a favor, Derek?” she asked huskily.
The man gave her a testing look, finishing off another beer before he answered. “Shoot!” he said, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“This is kind of embarrassing...” Jessica smiled, “But I am kind of lost... My girlfriends and I we were out at this bar earlier and those bitches totally ditched me. Left me stranded with nothing, no money, no phone, no clue where our hotel is...” Snot too far from the truth, but still way less embarrassing than what had really transpired.
“Sounds rough!” Derek frowned, spinning the empty beer glass on the bar's surface, “How can I help?”
She smiled at him thankfully, letting him feel even more like her savior. “I need to call a friend back home who knows which hotel we are staying at.”
“Why don't you call your friends here?”
“Well,” she smiled goofily, “I'm kinda done for today with those sluts... Also his is the only number I have memorized. Sooo, can I borrow your phone?”
Derek looked her up and down with his slight smirk. “What's in it for me?”
What does Jessica offer for a call?
