Jess and Marie

Diana had hardly been asleep for what felt like an hour when she was shaken awake. Opening her eyes, she saw Jess and Marie standing in front of her.

“We can’t sleep” Jess began. “We’re too excited.”

Marie nodded in agreement. “We were thinking, maybe we could sneak out for a bit, and walk down to the lake. We’ll be super quiet. No one will know.”

“I don’t know” Diana said. “It’s so late, and what’s the point? You two can go ahead by yourselves.”

“Oh come on” Jess said. “It’ll be fun! Don’t be a party pooper! It’ll be good to get out of your comfort zone.”

“I like my comfort zone right as it is” Diana replied. “So please, let me get some sleep!”

The girls tried to bargain with their roommate, but Diana wouldn’t budge. After five for minutes of bickering, they seemed to give up.

“Fine” Marie sighed “Looks like it’s just the two of us.”

Marie and Jess walked over to the door as Diana bundled herself back up in her blankets. After stepping outside however, the duo huddled up and decided to come up with a new plan.

“Getting out will be good for her” Jess said.

Marie, agreeing, said “She really needs our help. Poor shut-in.”

After a couple of minutes of debate, the two settled on a new course of action. Then, it was time to execute the plan.
