Chapter 4 by Endow Endow

What is your name?

Jeremy Rigolard

Jeremy Rigolard grew up in the same town as Smith Chasseur, Durkfield. He was a fast leaner, finishing high-school at 16 years old. He liked living in the countryside, so he didn't go to the capital city of the Guybou Nation for college studies. Being too young for hard work, he was an errand boy for the weapon shop of the Silverstar family. The weapon-smith there claimed that at one point in time he made many weapons for many heroes. Jeremy became very interested in weapon crafting when he heard it. One day, during a trip for the shop, he met a Cyclops Monster Girl on the road.
"So, huh, what was the sentence?" she mumbled.
"Do you need something Miss Cyclops?" Jeremy asked.
"No, young man. I mean, yes! Yes! I need something. W-Wait a minute." she answered. "It's just that I can't remember it well..."
"I can help you, maybe." he said. "What is it again?" he asked jokingly.
"But I just said I can't remember it, boy..."
He walked closer to the monster. "I know. I was just playing with you, Miss Cyclops." he said. "I think I know what you want."
"Huh, I know what I want, little man. By the way, my name is Amelia Laforte, stop calling me Cyclops." she said. "I just don't remember the right formula."
"Okay, I can do that, Amelia." he said with a smile. "But I still know what you want, and you can call Jeremy, Jeremy Rigolard."
"Then tell me, dammit! You're just useless now, Mr Little Rigolard." said Amelia.
"Pretty atypical Cyclops, aren't you? Could you also stop saying things like "little" or "boy" I'm a man you know." Jeremy said. "And call me Jeremy, because I have the feeling that we will soon enough create deep bonds." he said laughingly.
"If I stop, will you tell me the right sentence you litt... Tsss, you weak human, Je-Jeremy?" she asked.
"Well, you already stopped, so I guess I'll tell you" he said. He approached Amelia, and whispered "What you want to say are these exact words: "In exchange for a sword I made, I want you to spend a single night with me for the purpose of procreation", am I correct?" Jeremy said, slowly and carefully.
"Oh yes, that's it! Aren't you a smart boy, Jeremy! Oops!" she said smiling.
"Huh, I'll let that one pass. Now why don't you repeat it, Amelia."
"Ah, yeah, you're right" she said.
She repeated the exact same words, with a surprisingly sexy voice.
"Actually, let's just go. You already knew right? And since you didn't run, I guess you want to do it. Aren't you a pervert, Jeremy? Anyway, why did I even repeat it..." Amelia wondered. "Mother said these are important words, but now that I think about it, this was just stupid".
"Haha, yes, I knew it. I read a pretty long book about Monster Girls."
Then they spent the night at a nearby inn. When Jeremy woke up, he had three swords next to him, and Amelia was gone. She left a note saying "These are just useless swords, that made fail my entry at the Royal Weaponry Headquarters, nothing special. Good bye, I'm going home". Then Jeremy thought "Huh, it was my first time, you know, feeling this much demonic energy. Now I guess I underestimated it a bit. Dammit."
Since then, he quickly managed to make a name for himself in Durkfield Town. At 20 years old, he joined the Silverstar family mansion as a head guard. Two years later, Smith came to his team. He trained him in way that Smith would one day replace him. After four years of training, Smith is now 22 years old and Jeremy is 26. He thought that it was a good time for him to start his travel. Before going, he lend Smith his Monster Girls Encyclopedia, saying "I'll start a journey soon, Smith, maybe around the world".
"Mmm, why is that, Jeremy?" asked Smith, taking the book and looking at its cover.
"There's a place a I need to go. All because of a mistake I did when I was young. But I guess I'm still young right? Ahaha".
Smith asked "A journey is something big, so I conclude that it was a big mistake, no?"
"Nothing special, nothing bad, my friend, but read this book, it's a big hint." said Jeremy. "I'll be at Fracklen Rock for a time, gathering information. If anything happen here, meet me there"
"Okay, Jeremy." said Smith.
Smith admired Jeremy a lot. This bald, strong guy seemed to have a pretty entertaining and carefree life, going from town to town every week-end, and he had these damn cool swords. He was pretty known in the Lomam Region too, one of the two regions of the Guybou Nation. He wondered what could make this man travel around, so he started to read the MGE with very close attention. Funnily enough, it made him wonder about a journey too. Smith found the answer pretty quickly: a woman, or women, who knows. Truly mysterious beings, aren't they?

Arriving at Fracklen Rock, Jeremy stays at the city's inn. What will he do?
