Jenna needs a base of operations

Jenna had her first soldier. Now she needed a base. There was home, of course, but that was for after school, and it wouldn't be easy to get girls to come over. Rachel's place was out -- Pastor Fuller could cause too much trouble.

Mr. Burke had broken his hip and would be out for weeks, leaving assistant librarian Miriam Chisolm in charge.
