Chapter 48 by reaper13
What do the black girls remember about the party?
Jayda has trouble remembering
The next morning, when Jayda wakes up, she wishes she hadn't. Her head is killing her. She stays in her bed and figures maybe she could fall asleep again and sleep it off. Instead she tosses and turns and sleep doesn’t come to save her. Eventually she gives up and goes to find herself an aspirin.
When she gets to the living room her parents weren’t of much help. They tell her they know about how drunk she was yesterday and are very disappointed in her. They also make sure to use loud voices and really play into her hangover. Probably a subtle way of convincing her to not drink so recklessly again. No need for them to bother. If this is what **** leads to, then she will never drink again.
After she got the aspirin she manages to escape her parents and go back to her bed.
As she waits for the medicine to kick in she starts thinking back to the party. She remembers the music, the dancing, and then they left and …
“Oh my god.” Jayda groans while hiding her face in her hands.
Jayda grabs her phone and sends a text to Taylor.
“Hey.”
While she’s waiting for a response Jayda hopes she’s remembering it wrong.
“Hi.” Taylor texts back. “How are you feeling?”
“Bad.” Jayda replies. “I’ve got a hangover.”
“I figured. You were pretty drunk last night.”
Jayda rolls her eyes. Then rubs her eyes because rolling them was painful.
“Don’t bring it up please. My parents already gave me a speech.”
The Jayda switches the topic.
“About last night. Please tell me I didn’t flash my boobs when we left that club.”
A few seconds later Jayda receives a text she wished she didn’t get.
“Sorry, but you really did show off your boobs to everybody there.”
Jayda groans again.
“You do know that’s not how I usually am, right?”
“Of course I do.” Taylor replies. “That was the **** in you.”
“Thanks.”
Jayda quickly thinks about what other things she did last night. There was some twerking involved, and more bee, … ugh, it’s so hard to concentrate … and then she was outside in the rain, and Lizzy took her up the stairs … then nothing. No matter how hard Jayda tries she just can’t remember what happened after Lizzy took her upstairs.
“Hey, Taylor. Can you give me Lizzy’s phone number? I need to talk to her.” Jayda texts.
“I don’t have her number, but I can ask Thomas for it.” Taylor replies.
It takes a few minutes but then Taylor sends her Lizzy’s phone number.
Jayda dials the number and holds her phone a fair distance away from her ear as to keep her hangover from hurting her even more.
When Lizzy picks up the phone Jayda quickly introduces herself by saying, “Hey, it’s Jayda.”
“Oh, Jayda.” Lizzy says. “How’s the hangover.”
“Please, I don’t want to talk about it.” Jayda replies. “There’s something else I’d like to discuss.”
“Sure, what’s up.” Lizzy says.”
“Last night. I remember getting soaked and you taking me up the stairs. But I don’t remember what happened afterwards. Can you tell me?”
Does Lizzy tell her the truth?
