Chapter 5 by Godzilla87
Who are you?
Jared, average guy, not a jock, but not a nerd either
Jared was sitting at his desk in math class trying to focus and jot down notes about the formula of a line on a graph. His math teacher, Mrs. Smith, was writing out the formula and explaining what each letter represented. Jared did his best to follow along, but he was feeling especially nervous and distracted. He kept glancing at the clock on the wall. The following period was An assembly in the gym. He was a fund raiser the seniors held to earn money for their prom.
The fund raiser was a joke. The seniors auctioned themselves off as "slaves" for a day. It never amounted to anything. Maybe carry a few books or get someone's lunch. The assembly did mean that, the school got out of classes for an hour.
Jared had brown hair and hazel eyes. He wasn't exactly athletic, but he wasn't fat by any means, nor skinny. His build was simply average. Like most, he played sports when he was younger. That kept him trim, but grew out of sports. And now his simply youthful metabolism is what kept him in shape.
Jared was a freshman at Trinium's High School. It was a small high school in a small town in a rural county in Ohio. Meaning, the largest graduation class this high school ever put through was 107 students. Meaning, everyone in the high school knew everyone what everyone did.
Jared's geometry class consisted of 27 students. They were a of all grade levels. Students were placed based on math scores from middle school. So depending on scores, freshman could be placed in pre-algebra, algebra, or geometry. Geometry was the highest placement for freshman.
Students only needed three math credits to graduate, so a few seniors were in the class. One particular senior was the reason Jared was so nervous about the following assembly. Who is the senior?

High School Senior Auction
High school shenanigans
Based on a fund raiser my school had where the seniors would offer themselves up for auction to be a "" to the highest bidder for a day. It never amounted to anything more than carrying books or getting lunches. I always thought it was silly, but what if it became a lot more fun?
