Ivy Arrives In Gotham

At a private airport in Columbia Pamela wearing a long trenchcoat, large black sunglasses and a black hat playing a grieving widow accompanied by 6 men struggling to carry a large coffin and loading it onto a private plane. The captain steps off "Hey what the hell are you doing? This plane isn't supposed to take off for another 2 hours and it's not carrying a dead man"...Pamela approaches removes her hat allows her hair to cascade around her shoulders she extends her hand and blows love dust directly into the pilots face "Plans have changed, my darling husband is dearly departed and we need to get him home to Gotham", the pilot smiles "Well, you know I can't just...", Pamela walks upto him and kisses him square on the lips, she peels away from him he tries for more "Not yet, I promise you'll get the kiss you deserve when we get to Gotham" He opens the door and usher's her in.

Wayne Manor Robin is in the batcave with a cup of hot chocolate still clearly feeling the effects of being frozen the night before Bruce enters the room. "Alfred prepare the Wayne diamonds" Dick replies "We gonna trap ourselves a snowman?" Bruce snaps back "Absolutely. Just as soon as you take ten hours training in the simulator.", "Whoa, I made a mistake. I'm sorry. Don't go all protective on me. It won't happen again." He replies, "Dick, you were reckless you could have been killed.", "I'm fine. See. Me. here. Alive. How are we gonna work together if you're never going to trust me?", "How, indeed?" Interjects Alfred Bruce stares at the two of them. He smiles a wry smile. "When did I become the bad guy?" Bruce and Alfred travel the winding staircase that leads from the Batcave to the top of the house. "He's over-eager, impulsive. I can't trust him not to get hurt." Says Bruce, "Perhaps the truth is you don't really trust anyone." Alfred responds, "Don't tell me you're on his side. Again.", "Despite all your talents, you are still a novice in the ways of family. Dick follows the same ends as you but gets there by his own course. You must learn to trust him. For that is the nature of family." Adds Alfred. They step through a doorway into Alfred's quaters "I trust you, Alfred..." Bruce says, "But I shan't be here forever." Alfred interupts Bruce stares at Alfred a beat. But Alfred just smiles. "Good night, Master Bruce."

The following morning there's a knock on the door Dick answers and he says a beautiful blonde standing front of me Please be here for me he thinks to himself, but she rushes past him and into the arms of Alfred "Uncle Alfred, How long has it been?", "Ten years. (to Bruce) Barbara isn't really my niece, sir. She's Joanna Clark's daughter." Bruce turns to Barbara "Of course. Alfred still keeps your mother's picture in his room.", Dick confused "Anybody want to tell us kids in the cheap seats who Joanna Clark is?" "Joanna and I were in love in London. But when I realized our age difference was too ****" Replies Alfred, "Uncle Alfred left for America. Much to my mother's dismay" Alfred continues "Eventually she married a young physician.", "So is Joanna here?" Asks Dick "My parents were killed in an auto accident ten years ago. Alfred has been supporting me ever since." She responds, "You have?" Asks Bruce "Secrets are a virtual prerequisite in this house, don't you think?" "Well Barbara continues" I'm on break from Oxbridge Academy their new computer sciences division." Bruce turns to Barbara "Well, I hope you'll stay with us." Alfred interjects "There's a lovely inn just down..." -- Barbara cuts him off "All this luxury really isn't my style but I'd love to stay." Bruce "Then it's settled. Alfred " Oh, but, sir. So much goes on..." Bruce adds "Don't be silly, Alfred. After all, she's family."

Later that afternoon A vintage DC-3 steams on the runway. Pilots descend the gangway. Pamela goes to leave the plane when the pilot calls her back "You promised me another kiss", Pam approaches "Silly me so I did, this was fun, but I think our relationship has come to an end" she kisses him, his body goes limp and Pamela departs the plane she supervises the luggage handlers' debarkation of the coffin, Pamela bellows "Be gentle. He's always been touchy." One of the handlers replies "Whatever you say, lady." Pam watches the Handlers carry the coffin away. She turns, walks off across the tarmac.

The luggage handlers are talking as they bear the coffin to the terminal. One of them (imitating Pam) "He's always been touchy. Right." Suddenly a giant fist smashes athrough the splintering lid. The Handlers drop the coffin as a figure emerges. Bane, wearing his full costume, his injector pack strapped to his back. Bane lifts a Handler, begins swinging him like a baseball bat, sending the other Handlers flying.

A limosine sits at the edge of the runway. A lone businessman approaches the waiting car. The driver smiles, opens the door. he climbs in to find Pam sprawled on the back seat, showing no small bit of leg. He turns to the driver "There must be some mistake..." Pamela interjects "Silly darling, there's no need to pretend in front of the driver." She grabs his face kisses him passionately. She lets go, the Businessman slumps in the seat. Dead. "Love hurts. In my case it kills." The limo driver watches on spirals of love dust still visible around him Suddenly a hand reaches in snapping his neck, drags out his body. Bane climbs into the driver's seat Bane drives. Ivy sits in the back seat, applying brown contact lenses, donning a dark wig. Pamela Isley once more. "Gotham Observatory Bane and step on it"
