Despite this being a party where most of the celebrities have gone at least a little fancy, Avril is keeping with her usual method of dress, a black t-shirt with a pair of blue jeans.

The one thing you do notice as you start going in her direction, though, is how much she's been drinking in the short time you've seen her there.

"Pleasure seeing you at this party Avril," you tell her after you have formally introduced yourself, knowing she's not one for this kind of scene much anymore.

"HA...yeah John...it's not a normal thing for me anymore, but I still like to get out and enjoy one of these every now and then," she tells you as she downs another drink.

That first exchange having gone well, you quickly begin getting lost in conversation with her and decide that if you don't make an effort to move things along soon, the moment might pass.

So even though that is unusual for you, you're feeling bold enough, you decide, to try and move things forward with Avril yourself.
