It didn't. An investigation starts and info comes to light.

At the farmhouse of the farmer who found the strange object first a small convoy of dark vehicles with no markings came rolling up. 1 black sedan, 2 black range rovers and a big truck, modified for rough terrain stopped in front of the house. 3 men stepped out of the black sedan and walked up to the house. After ringing the bell, the farmer opened the door and looked at the 3 people dressed in totally different attires. The man with a trained physique, a bald head and black suit spoke first “Mister Fred Baker?”. The farmer nodded to which the suited man continued “Max Sinclair, FBI. These distinguished gentlemen are Robert Palmer from NASA…” as he turned his head to the right, where a man in black trousers and a white blouse stood. He had his brown, halflong hair in a tail behind his head and wore glasses. The FBI agent continued, turning his head all the way left to an Indian man with a green jacket and brown trousers “and Ritesh Bhasin from ADNA Tech. We are here to investigate the object you found in your fields. If you’d be so kind to tell us where you found it, we will try to get out of your way as soon as possible and you’ll be able to live like nothing has happened.”.

Out of reflecting Fred pointed towards the egg and said “Second field over.” at which Ritesh and Robert walked to the semi, spoke to the driver, opened a door in the side of the trailer and stepped in. One of the Rovers drove away to the field and the truck followed suit, after which Max thanked the farmer and walked up to the sedan. “Uhm, sir, what is this about, if I may ask?” Fred quickly asked. Before stepping inside the car, Max turned around, gave a relaxed smile and said “Nothing to worry about. Just tests for a new type of rocket fuel. Very sorry for the inconvenience and of course you will be repaid in full for everything.” Then he too drove away to his next appointment from a call made with some kids in the neighbourhood.

In the cornfield quite a few people were busy around the egg and in the surrounding area, with the converter trailer transformed to something like a tent over the egg. Ritesh and Robert stood next to each other in front of the opening in the egg. “This is not good. Experiments show that sexual maturity is reached in only a few hours with the alien DNA in her current build.” Robert said. Ritesh added “How could this have happened? And now of all times? We haven’t had the chance to test everything surrounding the mixing of alien and human DNA. Apart from forming what looked like female reproductive organs on the former testsubjects, we know nothing about her being able to use them or maybe more. Certainly not with the transmutive genetics inside her.”.

A man walked up to Ritesh and whispered something in his ear. Then Ritesh said to the man “Ok, does Max know of this? Yes, I understand. Is it confirmed it’s the same person? Yes, I will come too. Tell him to meet me there.”. Turning back to Robert, he said “They found the first victim, a young girl that was taken from a group after mating with a boy from the same group. I'm going over there to check the body. Max will join me there after he is done with those kids.”. Robert nodded and Ritesh stepped in the back seat of the closest Range Rover, which then drove off. At the place where they had found the blond girl, state police were keeping the scene closed off, when Ritesh arrived.

After stepping out of the Rover, he saw the head of the unit walk up to him. “Inspector George Baelley, good to see you again, doctor Bhasin” the man said, “She is over here.”. George let Ritesh to the naked body of the girl half sitting against a tree on the edge of a little open grass field. Ritesh walked up to the girl and kneeled next to her. “Found her just like this, haven’t touched her.” George said. Ritesh nodded, pulled thin gloves out of his jacket and put them on.

First he touched the skin, stretching it a bit. She looked a lot grayer than living people, which the inspector noticed too. “Sustenance to keep up the transformation. She fuses her DNA with the victim’s, taking over it’s appearance, while using the blood to fuel the fusing and the transformation of both bodies. Then discards the body when it’s not of use anymore.” Ritesh explained while tracing up the body with his hand towards her stretched open mouth.

George saw the mouth of the girl and asked “And what’s up with the stretched mouth?”. Ritesh shivered a bit before replying “As it’s form is able to stretch as it see fit, it can do so in lesser fashion when it is fused with human or other bodies. To initiate the fusion, it shoves a flexible air pipe into the victim’s throat up to the lungs to keep providing the body oxygen, then covers the head with its own “head”. Inside the bulb on top of its body it can shoot thin needles that can pierce bone and then injects a toxin into the brain of the victim that slowly kills it off, leaving it braindead while making sure the body keeps on functioning properly until it’s done with it.”

Then Ritesh traced his hand down the body and casually opened the girl’s vagina, where he stroked the inside walls. Pulling his fingers out, a slightly grayish sticky substance got stuck to his gloves. Before George could ask, Ritesh explained “In our research with the alien DNA and that of humans, the alien DNA could adjust to producing something resembling human reproducing organs, specifically the female ones, but aren’t able to lay eggs or produce sperm. Instead it created tools to extract the eggs from the female ovary and sperm from the male balls. It also possesses something akin a female womb that mutated both the egg and sperm with alien DNA. We figured it might even use the host’s womb to birth it’s offspring, but don’t know anything yet about gestation, how quick it would grow and how much alien or human the hybrid would have inside it then.”

George needed a moment of silence to cope with all this info, but then asked “So, is it able to reproduce already?”. Ritesh shook his head “Probably not, though it’s human side seemed to have kickstarted it’s desire to mate, seeing it took a female in heat to further harvest DNA from, took her egg and seemingly succeeded in mating her with male human. Though neither the egg nor the sperm gathered would have any effect until full maturity has been reached.” George got slightly less worried as he asked “And when is that?” Ritesh looked at the tire tracks leading to the deserted road behind the trees and said “Could be any moment now…”.
