It’s medically necessary

“We did some talking. We know how much trouble you’ve had sleeping lately, not to mention the problems in school.” Her father began. He seemed to lose his wording, and looked to his wife for answers. She smiled towards Rose kindly.

“What your father’s trying to say, is we will find a way to work it out. Just don’t deviate from the treatments.” Her mother said blankly. Rose took a moment to comprehend what she’d just agreed to.

“So...you’re ok with this? Mom I-“ Rose tried to say, but suddenly she was cut short by her mother. “It’s extremely important to your well-being from the sounds of it. I know it’s a little outside of your comfort zone, and ours too. But I promise it’ll be like nothing changed. Besides, it’s only for a week!”

Rose tried to say something, but felt her stomach catch in her throat. She suddenly felt like the world around her was pressuring against her. Her parents looked to her expectantly, as if waiting for something.

“Well? What are you waiting for?” Her mom said, staring wide-eyed and attentively at Rose.
