It's probably coincidance but let's make sure...

Thinking back you remember having distinct thoughts and feelings before each uncharacteristic action of both Nurse Cooper and your mother but two examples doesn't prove anything...

You decide to give something else a try. ‘How about getting some takeout tonight? We like takeout.’ You think.

“I think we should get takeout tonight to celebrate John’s homecoming” says your mother.

Ok that’s a bit freaky you think – but not entirely impossible. ‘I think Brittany wants to pay for it’ you add silently to yourself.

“Oh what the hell, I’ll pay for it – it’s not everyday the shrimp gets a tumor” says Brittany.

Now that is weird! You think – Brittany would rather sell a kidney then lend you money, much less pay for a meal that includes you. Still, you’re not entirely convinced yet.

‘Brittany should get a job and stop living off of mum now too’ you think wildly. Now you are certain that this won’t work – Brittany has never held a job for more than 2 weeks and would probably move in with one of her boyfriends before getting a real job. She and mum had arguments over it several times.

“I’m gonna have to get a job if I’m going to be paying for you from now on shrimp,” She calls back at you from the front seat. She turns to mum “One of my friends says there’s openings at fashion store she works in – what do you think?”

Your mother nearly loses control of the car in surprise.

“Really Brittany? A job? That’s great! What brought this on?” your mother is stunned.

“I dunno,” she says slouching down in her seat. She looks a bit surprised at herself. “I guess it’s just time I did something.”

You look at your mother who can’t wipe the proud new smile off of her face then at Brittany who looks a little surprised at the fresh idea that she wants a job. Next to you Jessica is shocked at the happenings of the last ten minutes. Her brother is back from Hospital, her mother quit smoking and her lazy sister has just declared she wants to get a job! This is all a bit much but most of all you are shocked at what you can make people do, it seems certain now - somehow you can influence people into doing what you want!

As your mother turns into the driveway of your family home your mind is reeling with possibilities. You need to decide what you are going to do with this new found ability…
