Chapter 36 by Orlog4 Orlog4

Do you make it to her home?

It's close, but you make it

You drive as fast as the speed limit allows, sometimes even faster. But it’s hard to stay focused on the street while Jenny is on the passenger's seat heavily breathing and fighting her transformation. You can already see her fur growing slowly while her house is right in front of you.

“Fuck, it’s too late,” Jenny screams in panic and maybe pain, “I can feel my bones moving. Get out, Max. Please, run for your life!”

“Stay with me,” you say and stop the car, “we are already at your house. You can make it.”

“Out of my way!” Jenny cries, jumps out of the car, and runs through the door that her father has already opened for her.

He saw you coming and looks after his daughter worried while you. Then he turns to you. He seems older than you remember him. But he also has a warmer look on his face than the last time you saw him.

“Are you hurt?” he asks worried and you shake your head, “great. Thank god everyone is fine. Then please tell me why my daughter has no shirt on.”

“Would you believe me a fairy has stolen it?” you ask smiling.

“Ah, Sammy,” Jenny's father sighs and shakes his head, “what kind of a world is it in which a father can no longer even say only his daughter's human friends are not good company. It used to be Leyla I was worried about, now it's a perverted fairy. Can't she find friends her size? However, I’m still her father. So I have to ask this. Did you act properly when you were alone with her?”

“I'll never **** her to do anything,” you say direct, “and I will never hurt her or leave her because of her … second personality. Who knows, maybe someday she gets calm and I can protect myself by throwing a ball and letting her hunt it.”

“My daughter is not a dog!” Jenny's father says strictly, “I will always worry about her. And as her father, I will always hope for the best boyfriend imaginable. But when I see it realistic, I’m glad for one who accepts her as she is. So, thank you, for being there for her. As long as you don’t hurt her, I think we will get along.”

“Thanks, sir,” you say smiling, “I’m glad we get along. But I guess I will go to the dorm now. Tomorrow is school.”

“Indeed,” Jenny's father says nodding, “have a good night. And be careful. My daughter is not the only monster that hunt’s during the night.”

You nod short and leave. To be honest, walking home in the dark is hard enough even without watching out for monsters. For a moment you miss the time where junkies were the biggest problem to worry about.

Do you meet someone (or something) on your way to the dorm?
