It's better to just leave them alone...

Despite of your curiousity you finally decide to leave the two women alone, and reluctantly sneak back down the stairs again to try and come up with something to do on your own.

It's just a few moments later that you hear the door to Rachel's room opening up however, and your lovely housemate comes skipping down the stairs. Quite to your surprise she's still fully dressed, though perhaps with a little more colour to her cheeks than usual, and goes on to fetch herself a bowl and a bag of chips from the kitchen.

"Are you done with the dishes already?" She asks as she finds you in the livingroom, having passed you right by when was coming down the stairs, and looks like she's wondering what you're up to. "Would you like to watch a movie or something? Katie's a sucker for romantic dramas though, if you know any good ones of those...?"

"Uhm, well..." You just stutter uncertainly, as you were certain the two of them had something entirely different going on upstairs. By the look you recieve from Rachel it would seem like there was barely anything going on between them at all however, making you unsure of what you'd actually heard just a little while ago. And you can't really ask her either, without also letting her know that you've been eavesdropping on them... "I thought you were... too busy, catching up...?"

"Oh?" She smiles, and then finally blushes just a little bit more, as she can hear the suggestive tone to your voice. It seems like you weren't that far off with your suspiciouns after all, though neither as spot on as you'd thought, and you notice a tension to Rachel's voice as well when she eventually continues. "We're... kinda done with that! I mean... we did some kissing, but..."

Her voice trails off at the end, as she's clearly a bit ashamed of herself, and it looks like she's unsure of how much you'd actually like to hear about it. Her hesitation just puts you at ease however, as you realize what a poor liar she would make if she'd ever decided to be unfaithful to you. This time you thought you'd been clear about giving her your permission though, and you find it rather funny that she's not even been taking the chance.

"What...?" She asks after a moment of silence, and you can hear the hint of agitation in her voice as she must've noticed your reaction. "Was it something I said...? John, what are you laughing at...?"

"Oh, it's nothing!" You ensure her, while getting back out of the couch, and then sweep her up in your arms for a firm kiss to her lips that catches her quite by surprise. For half a second she's even trying to fight you off, before simply melting in your arms and accepting this token of your love for her.

"There's just this one thing I'm wanting to tell you..." You smile at her softly as you set her back down on her feet again, and watch her cheeks blush an even deeper shade of red while you lean in to nibble and then whisper at her ear...
