It's an office building.

Looking at the hallway, He could see that he was actually in a deadend of the hall. Peter took note of the thin beige carpeting, the wooden door next to him marked "Custodian", and then walked down to the corner, where this hall met the next. He turned the corner and saw an attractive young woman that he didn't recognize holding a small stack of folders waiting for an elevator.

He walked up next to her, flashed her a quick grin, (which was not returned) and then scanned the directory of companies listed next to the elevator doors. He was glad to spot a familiar name and stepped into the elevator behind the girl when the doors opened. She pressed the button for her floor and Peter leaned in front of her to press the button for his floor.
