Chapter 93

You what? Hello? Dude that's a bullshit cliffhanger!
Isn't it obvious
Heh... Amateur. A grin spreads across your face as your adrenaline surge kicks in. Slowly your whole body turns sideways, getting itself ready to intercept the bat slamming down straight at your face. You reach out with one hand and grasp the end of the bat firmly, the sting it causes is barely noticeable as your perception normalises. There's a moment of struggle as the tall black man attempts to pull the bat back out of your solid grasp.
"Sabir?" You gasp confusedly. Seeing his face properly there is no doubt in your mind that this man is one of the people employed by your father for your home. His eyes widen as he retreats a few steps back in fear.
"Stay back demon!" He curses, flailing his arms in your direction. "You can't fool us by speaking our names!"
"Sabir it's me. It's Michael from Rick's house." You lower the bat so he can see your face clearly. His own face looks rough, a dark patchy beard covers his lower face, dark bags droop under his dark bloodshot eyes and his usual trimmed Afro is stretched out in a greasy-curly mess. "Calm down, please." You plead as gently as possible.
He blinks a few times then rubs his eyes. Recognition settles upon his fearful expression. "Michael? What- Why? Why are you here?"
"I'm looking for my aunt. Why are you here? I thought you all left for the start of the new term."
"We did... I wish we hadn't though." His shoulders slump as he rests his trembling legs with his back against the wall. "A day after leaving and those things appeared out of nowhere. We tried to get back to the house, it was the only safe place nearby to go to, only we didn't make it." He looks to the stairs and shakes his head solemnly. "Everyone here was in a panic... And their panic led to them outside."
"I'm sorry you had to see that... Is- Is anyone else..." You want to ask him about the others, about your aunt, a certain maid, but fear clamps down on your throat. He seems to understand the question.
"Follow me Master Michael." Sabir takes you down the corridor and to a room overlooking the back of the hotel. Sabir seems to have calmed down now, which is unfortunate because your own worry has you on edge too much. I hope they're okay... Please...
A short while after the four house staff had settled in, you started to get to know bits about them. Over time you became quite close with one of the maids. The two of you would spend numerous nights in your bed as she would question you about the fancy Ravenwood you go to and tease you about the hot chick you always checked out without ever doing anything about it. Of course it would usually end with her apologising... Oh boy, were they worth it!
He pushes the door open in to a silent room and gestures for you to go in. Your heart pounds as you take the first step in. Then a second. Followed by a steady pace as you almost tiptoe inside. Five faces are staring at you as you enter the main room, five relieved sighs exhale loudly, only one rises to their feet.
"You're here?" Emily gasps, hands covering her mouth.

Undead Souls
End of the world
In the near future of an alternate reality, a zombie virus has started to spread and begins a worldwide rampage. So it's time to grab your loved ones and survive in these soon to be hell infested lands or rise above and save the world. At the age of 21 do you have what it takes to live in this new world. The zombie apocalypse is almost upon you, do what you must to survive. (Based upon my love for zombies, HOTD, and interactive zombie games that I've played. Just a quick warning this story takes time to get to any juicy bits as I want to focus on the plot rather than any 'plot' if you catch my drift. Any-who, hope you enjoy!)
