Investigate the scream

Well, anything's better than just sitting around here. You walk outside and try to pinpoint where you remember the scream coming from. Suddenly, you hear it again, though it doesn't sound so shrill as the first time you heard it. In fact, it almost sounds... pleased? You realize that the scream came from just next door, behind the fence, and if you hadn't been as close as you were with the porch door open, you probably wouldn't have heard the scream at all.

You spy a knothole in the fence that you could look through, or maybe you should just run next door, in case someone is in trouble.
