CHILDHOOD SWEETHEARTS

Rob and Mal have known each other since kindergarten, there was a mutual and intense attraction between them when they met, 'love at first sight'..however it wasn't until the sixth grade when a 12 year old Robbie assisted an injured 12 year old Mallory.

So how did it happen you ask, I'll tell you! They walk to school and back home again every day, then one day Mal says "race you home...loser has to do whatever the winner wants" pausing before saying "loser" giggling. Its a dead heat most of the way, Mallory pulls ahead and just as she's about to win she twists her ankle going down, Rob could keep running but doesn't..he stops to help his friend.

Picking her up he carries Mallory the last 1/2 mile to his house, along the way she looks at him adoringly with love, respect, and appreciation that goes beyond simple affection. She kisses him on the lips, a quick peck that represents innocent affection and curiosity on her part, "you win Rob"!

It is then that Mallory knows 'in her heart' one day she'll be his wife.
