The one

Lisa was a 22-year-old call center representative at Smith & Co., stuck in a routine of endless phone calls and tedious paperwork. Her curly brown hair often fell limp from the fluorescent lighting above, but her bright blue eyes still sparkled with a hint of mischief.

Bill, on the other hand, was 25 years old and worked as an editor for a small publishing house from the comfort of his own home. His messy blond hair always seemed to be sticking up in every direction, giving him an endearingly disheveled look. He spent most days lounging around in worn-out sweatpants and faded t-shirts.

The two met during one particularly grueling shift at Lisa's call center job. Bill had stopped by to conduct some research for his latest project and ended up striking up a conversation with Lisa during her lunch break.
