Introduction 2

Ms. Branco shows you and Mary pointedly to separate bedrooms. You know from your interviews with Mary that her mother is not particularly religious, but it's pretty clear that she doesn't want you fucking anyway. You chuckle quietly to yourself about that, but place your suitcase in the room she indicates anyway and take Mary's to her room. You politely ask where the restroom is and leave Mary with her mother. When you return, Ms. Branco is scowling at her daughter and Mary is giggling nervously. Apparently Mary's mother doesn't approve of the bimbo her daughter has become with your encouragement.

"You have a lovely home, Ms. Branco," you say, trying to break the tension and avoid a confrontation between mother and daughter.

"Thank you," she says coldly.

You smile at her, not giving the slightest hint that you know how much she would rather you weren't there. Eventually, social decorum trumps her dislike.

"Would you like something to drink?" she asks. "Tea. Coffee. Juice."

"Oh, any of those would be fine!" you say.

"Juice please!" Mary says.

Her mother rolls her eyes at the girly way her daughter is speaking but checks with you that white grape juice is acceptable and heads toward the kitchen. You are relieved when she returns with three glasses on a tray, along with three coasters. She hands you a coaster with a pointed look before giving you your juice.

"Thank you! I was oh so very thirsty!" you say.

"Thirsty..." Mary repeats, slipping into trance, then looking up as her programming kicks in.

"Mother, um, may I speak to you about something...privately?" she asks.

Ms. Branco was just about to sit down and sighs at the inconvenience. She excuses herself to you and goes with her daughter out of sight. Mary is about to explain that she just started her period and doesn't have any feminine hygiene products. It's a complete lie, of course, but it gets them out of the room. You are alone with their drinks.
