Introduction 2

It wasn't until later that you realized that this had become a new condition. It was hard, at first, accepting that you were never going to walk again, that you were going to be trapped in a body that would no longer respond to your commands. A sack of flesh that had to be spoon fed and changed like an infant. You cursed god. You probably would have gone out of your mind if you didn't have the projections to fall back on.

In the first few weeks after your ordeal, you began to project spontaneously. Usually, the experience would only last for a few seconds. Occasionally, you could draw it out for minutes, or even hours. It was unearthly.

At first, you just used your powers to explore, too bewildered to try anything constructive. Sometimes you would 'slip out' and watch your wife as she worked, or read, or watched tv in the other room, just enjoying the freedom of getting out and moving around. Being in an astral body was even better than being in a physical one because there was never any strain or discomfort. Still, you grew lonely and longed for physical contact.

It wasn't until months later that you decided to try 'getting inside' someone again. You didn't know what to do, or how to go about it. Just hanging around people in your astral form didn't seem to do anything. You thought it might have something to do with the sexual energy that had charged that little supply room in the hospital, maybe it was that energy that opened people up to you somehow, that explained the weird way your astral form had been sucked into the doctor's body. You started looking for couples who were having sex, trying to find a suitable jumping off point for your new adventures.

And it wasn't long before you did....
