After Doe left,I had my dinner with my parents,a particularly boring one as my parents often ate in silence and my sister was out with her friends,and went back to my room. Lying on my bed,the only things that accompanied me were my thoughts,the thoughts that had been troubling me for the past few months.

The thing is, I am attracted to Doe. It isn't just a schoolboy crush or a hot fantasy of mine,I love her. The innumerable moments that I had spent with her,the amount of fun that we had with each other,the constant laughs, all make me think that she is the one for me. But alas,I didn't have the balls to tell her this,and that was the reason I had always been the best friend,not that I am complaining.

My only regret was that because of my 'ball-lessness',I had lost my best friend to Tre,the captain of our school soccer team,who I knew was a first-class jerk. Always looking for an easy lay,Tre was not the guy for Doe. I had brought up his behaviour and actions before Doe before,only to be shouted at or ignored. As it was ruining our friendship,I decided to drop the topic altogether,hoping that Doe would come to her senses.

As I lay there on my bed,I couldnt stop thinking about Doe. It started out as innocent thoughts but moments later,I was lying there,tossing and turning,thinking about Doe. As I did so,my phone rang. The Caller ID was that of Doe's.
