Interrupted by the landlord

A knocking on the door startled the both of them.

Jill's eyes lit up in hope, Kyle's in alarm. if she cried **** then whoever it was would barge in and overpower Kyle. Hopefully.

"Jill Cassidey? I'm here for your rent!" barked a voice she'd come to fear. She once thought her landlord a kindly older man, but after she failed to pay rent he began to change, harassing her more and more, becoming more insistant and rude about her paying.

Her 'modifications' hadn't helped any. He just made snide comments about what she had spent her rent money on and began to say suggestive things to her.
