As April stands there silently, you wonder what her response might be. Looking quickly at Jo, you see she is wondering the same thing. However, you quickly look again at April, hoping she won't think you're more interested in her mother than her.

"Honestly," April finally says, "no."

You are a little surprised, but try not to show it.

"Honestly, Mom," April says as she starts to approach the two of you, "I'm not surprised he reacted that way to you. If I were him, I can totally bet I would have the same reaction. I just wish... I just wish I'd been here to SEE it!"

Your jaw drops in shock.

"Well, if you want," Jo answers before you have a chance, "I think I could get a repeat performance out of him!"
