Inspecting the router

Once everything was settled and calmed down, you can finally checked out the router that was sitting on the shelf by its lonesome in the little corner near the TV. Sitting on a metallic square corner shelf that had been screwed or drilled onto the wall, being set at mid level of the wall so one can reach the router easily. And then just behind the router was PVC covering for the wiring that connected from the router and long the the lines between the ceiling and the walls.

It has been since you first toured the house and you wondered if it was left behind by the owner of the house. You never asked the real estate agent or batted an eye on the router as you were more concerned about the house than bothered about the router. And now that you have been staring during the moving, you started to notice it more and more as you decided to inspect it. Walking to it as you looked at smooth and black square router with four antennas, two on the sides and two on the back with six LED lights aligned in the center. They are still blinking, which means the router is still working.

You pulled out your phone and went to the Connection setting of your phone to check on the name of the wifi. Unfortunately, it was hard to know the name of the wifi of your home since there were also other wifis that interfered with your search. And because the owner was far gone before you arrived, you stopped searching for the wifi of your home as you flipped the router over to check the info on the bottom. Much more easier and convenience!

You looked at the white label on the bottom of the router, checking on any info that was useful to you. There was the production name of the router, some id numbers, password, admin name, etc. The only useful info that you could fine was the telephone number and the name of the company providing the router: Trans-Connector.

You have never heard the name of the company before since you already knew about the one provided the old router of yours back at your old place. And this one is entirely new to you so you have to call them for assistance in order to get through with this router.

And you could assume that the previous owner bought this router and used it, you figured that they had some info about the router. Perhaps... you could ask them to reconfigure it to be yours instead since the original owner wasn't here anymore. But that would be a lot of paperwork and risky if the original owner knew about this.

But it would be worth it!
