In the cockpit of the Royal Starship.

I go up one level of the Royal Starship and I forget how big and roomy the starship really is. I remember seeing it departing and arriving in Naboo on the most important of days but I never got to see the whole ship from the inside.

When on my way to the top level of the starship, I notice that Obi-wan is actually following me. I curiously ask, "Are you following me?"

"I assume you're off to see my master, handmaiden?" he answers with a question.

"I find it you know where in the ship he is located. And you can call me Padme."

"Easy, he is in the cockpit of the starship, Padme," he says in playful sarcasm.

The two of us go together past the main hall and into where the cockpit is. I have never been in the cockpit before and nobody in the cockpit has never seen a handmaiden or anyone from the Royal Court inside the cockpit before. So the first that happens is that everyone turns their heads to see the unlikely person enter the cockpit. But moments like those don't last very long. I find the Jedi I was looking for all along, with some of the finest pilots Naboo has to offer. The Jedi breaks his concentration with the navigational officials to look towards me and ask a legitimate question.

"May I ask why you are doing here?" he asks.

Stumling with my answer while Obi-wan quietly giggles and smiles, I say, "The..the Queen wants to know where we are headed since we are away from the planet of Naboo."

"And you are?" he asks again.

"I'm...I'm Padme. I'm one of the Queen's handmaidens," I stumble with my answer again.

He shrugs off like he seems disinterested in my answer and then turns to his apprentice. "So what's the reason you're here, my padawan learner?" he asks his apprentice.

"I find it that the hyperdrive generator is leaking and we don't have enough fuel to get to Coruscant-" I interrupt Obi-wan.

"Coruscant. Is that where we're going?"

"Unfortunately, we did not expect the blockade to put up such of a fight."

"He's right," the head pilot told us, "if the blockade hadn't shot at us, we would be halfway to Coruscant right now."

"That's why I had Obi-wan check the hyperdrive generator. To see if we can instantly warp there instead of traveling in sublight. Unfortunately, we need fuel and a new hyperdrive generator. But where can we get one?"

"Master, he we go," Obi-wan tells his master, "Tatooine, it's small but it's habitable. It's worth a shot-" his master interrupts.

"And it's a good well away from the influence of the Trade Federation."

"And why is that?" I butt in with a simple question.

"It's controlled by the Hutts."

The head officer from my escorted group down back on the planet of Naboo butts in, with everybody completely unaware of his presence, "The Hutts? You can't take our Royal Highness there! Do you know what they will do to her if they capture her?"

"It's best that we don't have her in a place that is in control of the Federation."

The older Jedi now looks at me in an unusual way.
