In the Velvet Room.

The first thing you noticed was the clattering of the train. As you opened your eyes, you saw the vaguely familiar blue surroundings. You realized you were no longer in that mansion. You were sitting in a chair, across from that strange man again. Igor...

Chuckling, the odd man folded his fingers in front of himself. "So we meet again," he said in that smooth tone. Your face must have betrayed something because he held up his hand. "Do not fear. You're hardly dead. Your body is slumbering peacefully on the other side, such as it is." Well, that answered your first question...but what about Angel?

"Your friend is in no immediate danger," he replies to your question. "You can speak to her in due time. Firstly, however, we must discuss your contract." That was right...Igor had mentioned something about a contract the first time. But what contract? You hadn't signed a thing. When you tell him this, Igor chuckled. "A verbal contract is just as binding. You swore that you would prevent the malevolent creatures of that mansion from doing harm. And unless stopped, they will do much."

Waving his hand, Igor seemed to create a card from nothing. The picture on it was familiar...it was the one you had summoned! "You have awakened to a great power. The power of your Persona," Igor said cryptically. "Think of it a shield of sorts. A facade to protect you from harm as well as protect others. Everyone possesses such a thing, but few ever awaken its true power. You are one such person. And you will not be the last. Your task is set before you. Do you falter or press on? Regardless of your choice, you will have us in the Velvet Room to aid you."

With another wave of his hand, Igor created a key which floats toward you. "Take this key. In due time you will come across the door it goes to. When you do, you will find yourself back here," Igor explained. "When that time comes, we will speak again. For now...farewell." A **** seemed to pull you from the chair, sending you flying back...
