In a winning effort

Though she had sustained a few attacks from her, Hannah ended up getting the upper hand. Using her axe, she cleaved through Marukka's face, blood surging from her.

This prompted the demonic goddess to collapse to the floor, and from the looks of things, she was dead. However, to Hannah's surprise, Marukka took out the axe from her face and threw it aside.

"Congratulations; you've 'won' the tournament. And by that, I mean you're the temporary victor." She told her.

"I... I am?" Hannah asked.

"Yes, that's right. Unfortunately for you, your time here in Hell has ended," she replied.

"Again, Miss Gertrude explained to me about a future individual that bought the mirror." Hannah explained.

"Hmph." Marukka scoffed, crossing her arms. "Now leave this place at once," she commanded.

Hannah nodded before leaving the temple and locating the streets. There, she found the portal, and after taking one last look at Hell, she slid into the portal for the final time.

Having returned to the real world, Hannah glanced over at the mirror and cupped her chin in thought. Perhaps it's possible someone new could take a chance with that tournament, she thought to herself.

Realizing that selling it to a new owner would be a reasonable idea, Hannah smiled. And with that, she had also chosen to store the sledgehammer in the attic above her apartment.

Once she came back to UCLA, she and her boyfriend, David, apologized for the argument that they had over her not going to Daytona Beach with him. It was a successful forgiveness for them.

Hannah had also sold the mirror at a flea market (the same flea market she got it from), and with that, was now at peace completely. Though it is quite clear that whoever buys the mirror would go through the same trials and tribulations that she endured...
