In a really surprising twist...

At this point, Barry caught Millie staring at the scene. “Hey, Millie! You can follow along too! I think this’ll be something that you’d love as well.”

This thoroughly confused Millie. Surely he wasn’t about to try to seduce two girls at the same time, especially when one of them was the headstrong Millie, whom Barry had not dared to approach beforehand. It didn’t make sense for him to do this if he was trying to fuck them.

Maybe he really does have something interesting to show us, Millie thought to herself.

What she didn’t know was that Barry’s mind was racing furiously as well. He indeed had had his sights set on the small Japanese girl. He’d noticed Millie staring at them, and naturally assumed that the proud woman was preparing to walk over and thwart his plans. He thus took the initiative, calling Millie over to them of his own accord.

However, that did not mean that he’d thought this through. The words that came out of his mouth were completely spontaneous, and when he said them, he had no clue as to how he would get the upper hand in this situation. Logically, as Millie herself had surmised, getting Millie involved would only make things more difficult, much more complicated.

Yet, Barry Corvins was not a successful lawyer able to think on the fly for nothing. Racking his brains, he just remembered a gimmick he’d received a while ago from a friend. He’d initially tossed the object aside, thinking it no more than a nonsensical prop, but if it worked, he could turn this whole situation on its head.

Then again, maybe Millie would surprise him and just say ‘no thanks’, thereby rendering all his thinking meaningless.
