In a Mirror Darkly

In this 2 part Enterprise episode we see the origins of the Terran Empire in the mirror universe during the pre-credits sequence and the altered credits montage. We then see as Captain Archer maneuvers to take over the Empire by capturing the USS Defiant from the future TOS main universe. By the end, Hoshi Sato has taken control and declares herself Empress.

Perhaps we pick up at the end of the episode, as Hoshi begins her reign - using her power and sexuality to take many concubines. Perhaps T'Pol's attempt to claim the Defiant worked, but she decides the universe would be better under her rule - her logic corrupted by her time working for the Empire. Maybe Archer does take over the Empire like he planned.
