Chapter 2
by alphakennyone
What happens next?
I feel light-head and I faint.
...and everything goes black. A few seconds later, a weird dream kicks in. I feel like I'm in high school again, with a few exceptions. I'm walking down the hallway when it is passing period. I expect everybody to either ignore me, pants me, slap my back with a "kick me" sign, kick me, or look at me with an "eww" look.
But they don't. Instead of those things, guys turn and look at me like I got away with pranking the principal or like I'm the hottest woman on earth. Girls look at me like they are jealous, a few look like they want to be dominated by me. I don't mind them but I am curious in what their looking at.
I walk towards the boys bathroom and I see a few jocks laughing and then they look at me and try to holler at me. I give a curious look and when I try to look at myself in the mirror to see my appearance, I black out once more.
When I wake up from my dream, I wake up looking up at a cloudy sky shining in the moonlight. I try to remember what happened, but to my misfortune, I can't remember anything before I black out, only that I felt a stinging feeling on the back of my neck. I also feel a throbbing pain at the back of my skull. I feel like I was ****, tested on, and dropped on my ass from 20 feet up.
I try taking deep breaths and get my bearing. It's still night out that's for sure but I find that I am located in a place more different than before. Instead of a highway cutting through the desert, I find that I am standing on the side of a forest road surrounded by tall coniferous trees. A thick fog starts to roll in and I notice something else different. Before I had a rickety, rusty muscle car. Now I find that my car is actually a shiny, new import coupe. I am surprised but also excited to see that what I'm actually seeing is real.
I dust myself off but my hands feel cold and small. Actually my height is smaller than before. I don't mind it, walking towards the door of my suddenly new car. I am shocked to find what stares at me through the reflection in the window. Even in this dark night, the moonlight gives off enough light to manifest a mirror image on the shiny window of the driver's side door.
What is it that I see that shocks me?
