I can’t disappoint Kyle

As much as I’d love to jump into the sack with Lu right away, I figure my friendship with Kyle should count for something.

“Well,” I finally manage to say, “I guess it’s only proper to wait for my friend and we all go out together.”

Lu looks disappointed, but she flashes a wicked grin at me and says, “I can’t wait. Be sure you don’t disappoint me!”

I’m about to reconsider my decision, when a disturbance in the control booth area gets my attention. I see the light go off on the commentators’ camera, and I disconnect myself from my microphone and walk over to see what is wrong.

“We lost our connection to the main studio,” one of the technicians says. “We were rock solid, and then just as that red-headed guy busted a nut in that gal’s eye, the signal dropped.”

A couple of technicians rush over and look at the controls. “Have you called the studio?” asks one of them. “Someone there must have done something wrong.”

“I tried,” came the response. “I got some new guy who didn’t sound like he knew what he was doing.”

I glance at the monitors and see that there is some great oral action taking place, and I’m afraid we’re going to miss out on capturing the best scenes of the day.
