Chapter 10 by Acorn142 Acorn142

What do I say?

I’ll keep that in mind

“Thanks for the offer,” I respond. “I’ll keep that in mind, and if I decide to see what it’s like, you’ll be the first one I think of.”

Cayden writes something on a slip of paper and hands it to me. “I’ll hold you to that. Here’s my phone number. Give me a call — any time, day or night. I’d be making that offer even if you weren’t the boss. You’re seriously hot, dude!”

I’m not used to having a guy flirt with me, but Cayden is the kind of guy who is impossible not to like, so I laugh and thank him for the compliment. Soon we are at the door of Studio B.

“Studio A is right down the hall, where you see that red light over the door,” he says. “And since that red light is on, they are recording and you won’t be able to enter. You might as well come in here while you are waiting.”

He opens the door to Studio B and holds it open for me. I walk in and look around. My attention immediately is drawn to the set, which is a campfire, surrounded by several tents. A crude wooden sign identifies the location as “Be Prepared Camp.” Several logs are positioned around the fire for stools. Several young men in Boy Scout uniforms are standing around, and members of the crew are busily engaged in their assignments.

Cayden points me to Fred Lichen, the director, before ducking inside one of the tents. Fred is busy consulting with the camera operators.

I have the option of listening in on the discussion, mingling with the actors, or following Cayden into the tent.

What should I do?
