You tell her you think Bobby is interested in dating Amber as well. Your text to Bobby reads, "Hey Bro. Going to the van. BIG NEWS." Your message (hey bro) tells him that you have someone with you and 'big news' in capital letters means to be alone. You tell Karen it may be awhile before you hear from Bobby as his cell battery was dying when you got here and he may have his phone off. Actually it is fully charged and on as you all have worked it out to get messages if a party is busted.

Karen texts Amber as you go to the van. As you get close you get a text from Bobby that reads "I TOOK THE VAN FOR A WHIRL. " You know by his response that Bobby is at the van, with a girl, and wants you to stay away. You tell Karen that Bobby borrowed your van and you don't know when he will return. You then text Bobby "when will you be back?" He replies "will text you then." Karen has been texting Amber and says that Amber is excited to meet Bobby but that she is leaving for Woocott Institute with her new basketball playing friends. One of them will give her a ride back to town tomorrow morning.

Amber wants Karen to bring her car back home in the morning. Karen only has a permit and can't drive at night. You tell Karen you can drive the car back and will tell Bobby to bring your van home with Joe and Tom. Karen tells Amber and Amber says fine. You text Bobby and tell him you are leaving, he can bring he van back to your uncle's, and not to forget Joe and Tom. You are considering leaving the party now to be alone with Karen at your uncle Jim's house. You know he is out of town.
