You are a human. Your ancestors were captured in battle with the Tau, or turned to their side through the diplomacy of the Water Caste, and they eventually fully assimilated into the Tau Empire. You went to schooling better than any the Imperium has to offer save for it's most high ranked leadership and have emerged a strong and disciplined citizen. Though humans and other races are not exactly part of the traditional Tau caste structure, you had planed to serve within the 'Fio' (Earth) aspect as a worker and architect, but then something changed, you witnessed something, some major life changing event, and you shifted your focus, your earth became coal, and the coal caught Fire! Now you are Shas-La, Fire Warrior, and you will fight in the Empire's name against it's enemies!
