Hufflepuff Wand

It had seemed that he had not noticed you enter the shop he seemed to be in his own world you stood in front of him waiting for to notice you but he continued staring maybe it had something to do with the boy that had just left.

"Excuse me." you said finally grabbing his attention as his eyes that were staring off into the distance fixed onto you.

"Yes, sorry my mind just left me a second." He said quickly focusing on you "And who might you be if you don’t mind me asking?"

"No worries, I'm Marvolo Gaunt" you swiftly replied the tone of the room quickly changed.

"Ah, Mister Gaunt how very nice to meet you." You could tell the worry in his voice along with the rooms tone, he was very uncomfortable. You made your eyes connect to his and watched as his body language changed into a relaxed tone with the room environment changing back to its normal state.

"I'm here for my wand." you said with some trepidation, Mr.Ollivander quickly mustered and walk down one aisle of wands, not a moment later he returned.

"You may be here for your wand, but it is the wand who chooses the wizard." He said briefing you. You could sense something in one of the far aisles, it almost seemed to be calling to you.

"Hold out your arm. That's it." Snapping you back to reality he measured you, "Every Ollivander wand has a core of a powerful magical substance. We use unicorn hairs, phoenix tail feathers, and the heartstrings of dragons, while we do sell the occasional odd core here and there, you may never get consistency with a unique core, as you will never get such good results with another wizard's wand. Unless its allegiance changes" He said looking you in the eye before turning and looking at boxes down one of the aisles.

Again, as quick as he had gone, he returned once more with a few boxes, and again you heard something at the back of the shop emitting a low whisper. "Right then, Try this one. Spruce and unicorn hair. Nice and flexible. Thirteen inches. Just give it a wave." As soon as you gave it wave the wand levitated out of your hand, Ollivander had saw and caught it midair.

"No... Try this. Ebony and a phoenix feather. Sturdy. Eight inches." This wand was much shorter than the other, another sound came from the back and you saw a lone box on a shelf no other boxes on the shelf with it.

"Mr.Ollivander, would you mind if I tried that one?" Pointing to the box that seemed to be the source of the calling whisper. Ollivander turned very suddenly and saw the box. "It's been making a noise ever since I entered this shop." You said, He turned back to you before rushing over to the box and bringing it back over to you.

Looking at you, he asked "You said this box was making a noise?". Hesitantly, you replied "Yes, it’s almost if it’s calling out to me”. He opened the box pulling out a dull brown wand with a seemingly worn appearance to it. He handed it to you, as you held it in your hands the wand sent a slight prickling sensation through your body the wand seemed to have a connection with you.

''Interesting, 10 ¾ inches, an average length for a wand”.

“Slightly Springy and Flexible" He said analyzing the wand that you were holding as you were swishing it around. "That wand that has picked you, its core is a Phoenix feather, capable of great magic phoenix feathers although they often will take the longest to reveal this."

He paused "Hornbeam wood is a very interesting wood but not one I would have expected to choose you" Earning Mr.Ollivander both a confused and agitated look from you however, upon seeing this Ollivander quickly recovered. ” You see Mr. Gaunt hornbeam wood chooses its user for life and they are often found to have a single burning passion, I myself in fact have a hornbeam wand”. Pulling out his wand as if to prove to you that he wasn’t lying.

"I look forward to seeing what you will do with this wand Mr. Gaunt, I expect great things from you”

"Thank you Mr. Ollivander for your time and patience." You said as you paid Ollivander for your new wand, upon leaving Ollivanders you realized it was time to get to the train and be on your way to Hogwarts.
