How would you like being the center of three attractive women willing to do almost anything to get your attention

Matt definitely was not used to being the center of attention.

Cindi, Natasha and Tanya all seemed intent on attracting his attention. Natasha hiked up her skirt, Cindi petted him like he was a dog, and Tanya kept coming to him with interesting ideas about what they could do next in their show.

It was more than a little distracting... and made Dr. Dyle mad since he obviously wanted to be at the center of pretty girl attention himself.

"You, Matt. Detention."

"But sir--"

"No buts. I expect to see you after second session."

"Yes, sir."

"Now, if you are quite done with your... socializing, let us continue with our lab."

"I can't believe that Natasha and Tanya were all over you like that," Cindi whispered.

Considering that Cindi was the 'handy' one, that was a little unfair. Then again, she wasn't completely out of line in thinking she should have first dibs. She'd paid attention to him, liked him, back when the prettier girls thought he was something to shit on.

"Let's focus on getting our work done," he said. "I don't need another detention."

He stopped by the smoking area to visit Lisa after Biology.

"The whole Archie thing is kind of cute," she said in a way that made cute sound like it just might gag her."

"Yeah, it was unexpected. Still, we have to call each other something."

"Can you believe Jordan asked me to play on his Cherry-pop team. As if."

"As if you're a virgin or as if you'd let him take it?"

"Matt. What kind of question is that?"

"Uh, inquiring minds want to know."

She gave him a strange look. "Whatever."

"I take it you turned him down."

"It's Jordan, you idiot. Do you seriously think I'd screw that nutjob? He's a jealous creep. Besides..."

"What?"

"Never mind. So, I thought you were going to schedule me in your show. You think I'm not good looking enough?"

"Actually I think you're cute as hell."

"I think I'd prefer 'stunningly beautiful' to 'cute.'

"Well, I would too. But I'm not so fussy I don't enjoy cute as well."

She hit him in the arm. "Ouch. What have you got there? Steel plating."

"Maybe I picked the wrong cartoon. I must be Iron Man."

"Get the hell out of here, Tony Stark. Let me toke myself up for my next class in peace."

"Can I have a kiss to encourage me to cast you soon?"

"God, you've turned into one of those agent creeps, haven't you? What, did you take lessons from Tanya's dad?"

"Actually..."

"Never mine." She got up on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. "There you go. Cast me and you might get more."

"When I cast you, you'll be with me and if I don't get more that'll mean that the fans hate you. Want to know a secret?"

"I'm not sure."

"I'm pretty sure the fans will love you."

"Just get out of here, Archie."

Still, she was smiling.
