Housekeeping

Janno answered the door and found one of the maids waiting outside. The young girl, probably no more than 16, hesitated as she gazed up at the strapping fighter.

Then, she quickly spoke that she was here to clean the room and change the sheets and other housework.

Janno beckoned to Kassi and the two adventurers stepped outside and walked down to the tavern under the inn. Rather than grabbing a bite to eat, Janno decided to go out and see if he could find other adventurers interested in forming a new band. The blond ranger Kassi followed along, trusting in the more experienced Janno to know what he was doing.

The two went to the center of Woodhaven and cast about for new help, but to no avail. Janno even put up a second notice on the board at the town square before he and Kassi decided to grab dinner as the sun was heading down.

Over dinner, Janno inquired about Kassi and found out that she was an orphan who was trained in a wooded village nearby by a retired ranger. Her mentor recently thought that she was ready and Kassi figured it would be a good time to get out into the world.

It was a relaxing dinner and Janno was finally settling down, his lingering thoughts of his previous party's demise fading as he moved on with his career.

Just then, he heard a voice behind him call out, "So, Janno, I have finally found you..."
