Hop on the first plane out.

Dago was feeling spontaneous. He could get home whenever and where ever he wanted, thanks to the portal tag he kept with him. He could have used it after seeing Lilith, but had wanted to little bit of adventure. He entered the airport and bought a ticket for the next leaving plane. He didn’t bother looking at where it was, it would be a surprise. A fixable and fun surprised, he hoped. He did, however, check how long the flight would be. The woman at the desk said it would be four to six hours, meaning it’d still be dark by the time they landed, no matter where it was. He didn’t want to end up as a pile of ash for adventure. That wasn’t the kind of spontaneity he wanted to buy into.

Boarding the plane didn’t take long, aside from some security checks. He didn’t have baggage and didn’t carry anything conspicuous with him. They looked a bit strangely at the portal tag, but they didn’t ask. It didn’t look to be anything but a piece of paper with some symbols written on it.

The plane took off and Dago leaned his head against the window. He felt kind of tired suddenly.
