Hole one...

The four of you start off on the first hole, and everybody’s first throw goes well. Pretty soon you’re all having a good time, laughing and carousing along the way. There aren’t very many holes in the course, but they’re quite far away and it’s a wooded area, so it actually takes you all quite a few throws to get there. Half way through, your throws start to go awry. You expected to have some trouble on the first hole though, and you’ve been doing better than you expected, so you’re not disheartened.

In fact, pretty soon your throws have caught up to Merideth and you’re right there competing with her to not be the loser of this hole. Robin is a ways ahead of Joel, and it looks like she’ll probably win this hole. You and Merideth stay neck and neck until you’re both only twenty feet away with one throw left.
